Better info dissemination from the DEV team

This started in  Initiative tracking enhancements . I started this as the other thread will most likely get shut down as it when way off topic and i think this is an important suggestion.
I think the info dissemination is technically already taken care of.  The devs post pretty frequently in the Mentor forums, and if you have a direct question, they generally respond within the day.  But for non-paying members, having a sticky with projected future projects I think would be helpful.  I guess technically any one of us Mentors could just copy pasta relevant information to the regular forums, but what do I look like, a "Roll20 Mod Team" Member?  I dont think so, lol.
in my opinion Konrad's idea to have a "wall" of projects would go a long was to getting more people to be willing to become a mentor. and a list of projects that are under consideration for the community paying and otherwise would let the DEVs know what the community as a hole would like to see added next. the system i suggested would keep people from voting on every thing instead just what is most important to them. could make a change from the paying votes being worth more to they get more then one to be  applied to the same project or split up on more then one.  if the intent is to get Roll20 to become a full time job the challenge is to get more people to see this is worth the money. as for me a monthly cost is a hard sell. the expanded storage space is a good, dynamic lighting good. i would like to hear from more people. does the community want a more  tangible  connection  to what is going on at the DEVs end and what projects take priority. i do and i do not think i should have to pay for it i pay after i see something i like not to see if i like it. but it might be just me. i could be  incorrect  but i do not think a system like  suggested  would be too much work to setup. and it would be minimal to  maintain. add a  project  to the proposed list check the list from time to time to see how the votes  distributed.   move the project to the in-progress when it gets started or to the rejected with a short  statement  as to why if that is the case. and   finally  to the  feathers  when one is done.
Note that the Mentors do have a much more tangible connection to what is going on development wise. They are directly queried about new features in development and have more more direct input into those features. Perhaps we could look into a list of high-traffic topics currently under discussion in the Mentors area but beyond that maintaining a big list for the general user base de-values the benefits those that have subscribed at the Mentor level get.
We are working on regulating our updates in advance for the benefit of all users, but our emphasis will remain on paying customers. Additionally, steer clear of passive-aggressive self-fulfilling predictions, or risk future forum privileges being revoked.  We have several times contemplated shutting down the entirety of the suggestions forum, as we more often seek directed feedback from the mentors... but have kept this open for the community, as there are civil, contributing, and intelligent members who are not paying members.  It would be a shame if a few people ruined this for everyone, in addition to earning themselves timeout.
