Foreground rendering above hide/reveal mask

For some reason anything on the Foreground layer is rendering above the "fog of war" when trying to use the Hide/Reveal mask, which can make certain effects such as weather appear ahead of time.

Hi So lace! Have you checked if this is also true from a player view? I.e. when logged in as a player, not while using the Line of Site feature from Ctrl-L.

I did check this via re-join as player option and the issue was consistent across browsers. It seems to happen with animated effects

You should check using a Free account separate from your Pro account. What you see with “rejoin as player” is not the same as a real player sees.

Sounds like maybe something to do with the latest Foreground layer settings that were introduced last week, https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/12368339/foreground-layer-beta-recent-updates-and-upcoming-enhancements/?pageforid=12368339#post-12368339 Altho when Roll20 mentions "Darkness" I didn't think they were talking about the Hide/Reveal Mask ? Try switching your Foreground objects settings to "Below Darkness" or "Hidden By Darkness" and see if that fixes it?

Ok, great! To the Roll20 Team and Lavi, I think it is not entirely clear in the Foreground Layer feature description announcement & Help Center, that the term "Darkness" INCLUDES Hide/Reveal Mask
Gold, thanks! I've updated the Foreground Help Center to include this clarification around impact by Hide / Reveal Mask in the summary of features as well as FAQs. Gold said: Ok, great!
