Hello, We're looking for a game to join in that we can play together in. We're a married couple, and usually one of us DMs while the other plays, but we'd like a chance to play together, with neither of us being the DM. The listed game tags are what we are comfortable playing, although we'd consider other systems if books or materials are provided. That said, we're looking for a game that is in the 80/20 bracket for RP/Combat. A game that emphasizes solving problems, puzzles, and confrontation with words, skill, and thought, over just busting out swords for everything. We do not want to join a game that is being streamed, and while voice is expected and fine, we're not necessarily looking to use our cameras, and would prefer not to. We are an LGBTQ couple in an LGBTQ family, so while we're not going to bring it up, we also aren't going to tolerate intolerance in any way, shape, or form. Both of us are mid-30's, and have fairly open schedules during the week, and in the evenings on weekends. We're US Pacific based timezone-wise, and have children so we may need to tag out occasionally to deal with family stuff. Ideally, we'd like to play something long-running, as one-offs are kind of a bummer to each of us, as we prefer to flesh out characters with detailed backstories, who contribute to the story and game. We're open to slot filling for an established party who needs certain roles covered as well. We aren't "bringing our characters" to your table, we'll make them to fit in the world you create, and create them specifically for that game. While a combat heavier game would be considered, we'd prefer something that has more depth than pressing the dice button for literally everything. The dice are part of the game, not "the game." In that same vein, we're looking for ROLEplay, not ROLLplay. While we are adults, and married, we aren't looking for "those" kinds of games, we just want a decent tabletop game we can both play in. We'd prefer if all players were at least adults, or at the very least mature enough to not turn everything into a joke or a temper tantrum. We're open to homebrew content, as long as it's well explained or documented for reference. If you'd like to reach out to us, please respond here or through private message so we can speak over discord. In the same vein that any good DM should interview their player prospects for a good fit, we too would like to interview you as the DM for a good fit. Hope to see you all out there, and thank you for your time in reading this.
