[5e] [Paid] [Saturday] [1 PM] [EST] Lorebound — Cold Down

Hello Ladies and Gentlemen and any other nonbinary members!     My name is Peyton, and I have been a full-time professional Dungeon Master for four years. During that time, I have cultivated a community of welcoming, knowledgeable, and friendly players to put alongside you in your coming game. Over half of that community and I have been playing together for over a year, and many of those players date back to my earliest months of doing this full-time. My gameplay style is easily described as roleplay-focused with less slightly frequent, but meaningful combat. You can expect combat on average three times a month, if not more, but it may be more or less frequent given the playstyle of others at the table or the given situation within the game itself. I strive to make a welcoming and comfortable place for all my players to play the game that we all love. My ultimate goal is for our games to feel as if we are a group of friends playing the game at home! About My Game Saturday ( LFG Page ) 1:00 PM EST 2 Player Slots Available What is the Setting? Lorebound is my most traditional fantasy setting . In terms of fantasy , I would describe it as the perfect scoop of vanilla ice cream , where the stories tend to focus on world -shattering epics . This is really my own setting , where Elves will be Elves , Dwarves will be Dwarves , and many of the fantasy troupes that you will be familiar with will mostly all be in play , but with a few twists to make it feel interesting and special . Genre   (In order of importance ) :  High Fantasy . . . .that is it . Keywords   (In order of importance ) :  Epic , Grand Scale ,  & Adventure Visual Description :  The visual language of Lorebound can vary a lot depending on where you are , but a very traditional Tolkien inspired fantasy would be the easiest way to describe it .  Magic Description :  Magic is a facet of life to the setting to the degree it would be involved in everyone 's life to some degree . Not every person is able to use magic , but its wide scale usage would still impact every citizen . Technology Description :  Low /None . This is a place where gunpowder is hardly known . There are no mechanical trains , no steam boats , or anything like that . There are airships , but they are magically driven , very rare , and really only owned by the largest militaries in the world . This is one very major exception , which is Warforged . In this setting , Warforged are former mortals who have used themselves as magical machines to try and embrace immortality . Race Restrictions :  None . Class Restrictions :  Artificer and Gunslinger Services I Offer Game will last on average three hours. Some will be shorter, and some may be longer. I am more than willing to run one-on-one sessions at an agreed upon rate. I have a MidJourney subscription to make art of your character (if you would like or you can provide your own). A high quality Discord server with enhanced audio and publicly available notes for all the settings. I have a highly flexible schedule to meet with players to discuss anything they would like. How do you balance the roleplay-heavy focus of your Dungeons & Dragons sessions with the inclusion of meaningful combat encounters to ensure both aspects enhance the storytelling experience for your diverse community of players? Given that your group includes both long-term players and newcomers, what strategies do you use to integrate new players into the established dynamic while maintaining the welcoming, friend-like atmosphere you aim for? Additionally, how do you adapt your gameplay style to accommodate varying player preferences at the table?

Given that your group includes both long-term players and newcomers, what strategies do you use to integrate new players into the established dynamic while maintaining the welcoming, friend-like atmosphere you aim for? Additionally, how do you adapt your gameplay style to accommodate varying player preferences at the table? Lots of questions here and I will try my best to answer them all and not miss anything. As far as accommodating a variety of players preferences at a table I start by making sure that players at a single table have similar preferences to start with. This means not allowing players that have a wildly different preference into games at my own cost. I host a lot ot games and hopefully I will have one that fits your schedule that you can enjoy. As far as creating a 'friends' like environment: I focus on a few different things. Some of which are just how I talk to players when they are at my table, but some of the more extensive parts are not allowing players to talk about payments or other business side conversations at the table. We show up. We play a game. We try and have as much fun as possible. As far as the balance of story elements with the part of the game. That question is harder to answer because it can be so different between groups. I have a wide range here. Some groups that almost never have fights, and some that have fights constantly. Because that is what each group wants. I have a pretty in depth character creation process where I have players complete one of three different levels of detail google forms so that the party is all aware and expects the small level of quality when it comes to their backstories. This helps set up expectations as far as what the break down of the over all campaign is going to look like from the very onset.
