I understand how a Platform like this could be useful if you only play with theatre of mind and don't need battle Maps, and I would consider using it for this, but If the players can't even see each others dice results in the chat, that makes it really useless. Right now the Groups in Demiplane only provide the content sharing function and thats it. Also to add to what Mark R. said: Setting up a Daggerheart Game in Roll20 right now is overly cumbersome, because I have to explain a lot of steps to my Players: 1. Create a Demiplane Account 2. Get into my Demiplane Group so I can provide content sharing 3. Create your character 4. Create a Roll20 Account 5. Link your Roll20 Account to your Demiplane Account (Had to explain how to do that in some detail to a couple of Players that are not as experienced with digital stuff) 6. Get into my Roll20 Campaign 7. Create a Demiplane linked Character Sheet (multiple players of mine did not find the right option for this and created normal PC Characters that I had to delete again) 8. Link your Demiplane Character to the Character Sheet (The loading time on this is also an additional burden, because it loads for several seconds everytime you closed the Character sheet, without minimizing it, and some players were not able to roll dice in the chat when they had their Sheet opened in a new Window.) Compare this to how you set up a D&D Game on Roll20: 1. Create a Roll20 Account 2. Join my Campaign 3. Create your Character - Done! Content Sharing allready dealt with over the Campaign, all Items, Classes and Stuff ready in the Compendium. So yeah I really have to agree with Mark R. here. I don't see why you couldnt just do a Roll20 ready Version of the Character Sheet, even if it might lack some features or not show the Artwork of the cards or anything, it would still be a better user experience. Right now I don't understand what Demiplane brings to the table that makes it such an necessity for this particular game. Maybe you could elaborate on that, so we understand what it is about this game that makes Demiplane a necessity, aside from some deal with Darrington Press and the need to justify the whole Demiplane + Roll20 Integration, because I'm pretty sure Darrington Press would care more about a good user experience for players and GMs and not about the internal needs of your company. I don't want to assume like I know whats going on behind the scenes either, but when there is so much extra barriers involved, it doesn't feel like the user experience was front and center in your design descisions. I hear you! (And you, Mark R.!) While Peter (our Demiplane Lead) is out for the rest of this week, he's definitely the best one to answer these questions and talk about the vision for the integration. He'll be back next week, and I'll have him drop in to talk shop! Thank you for taking things seriously. I and my players can't wait to try this game, but as myself and most of my player are 45 and older and not computer savvy we are gunna shelve Dagger heart until things get way easier to play. The sheets from demiplane are beautiful but I'd still just rather have it in roll20. As for adversaries, I still can't figure out how to make a sheet for one in roll20. I wish it was just drag and drop. As for the fear counter, I made a token for fear that has an HP bar the players can see, it has 12 HP to represent the amount of fear. It looks just OK. I still have a bit of an issue with having to buy token art after already purchasing the book. I could just clip the art and use https://rolladvantage.com/tokenstamp/ and make my own tokens, but it's just even more work on the GM side of things. The DnD 5e books just include the tokens that can just be dropped onto the map. Anyways, not to dogpile on you as I do appreciate the quick responses. I have been a long time player on Roll20 and pretty much run games from it exclusively. I look forward to trying Daggerheart in the near future. Cheers!
