New to the Game Group looking for GM

Good Day! My group of 6 is looking for a GM who is patient with us learning to play!  Eventually I intend to take over the role of GM but I need to play a couple beforehand so I can get the rhythm of the game! I'm just not comfortable yet.  We need someone who can teach us as we go. We are all interested. We've all watched some campaigns but i'm the only one who's ever played a VERY short 3 hour run. Can anyone help or at least guide me in the right direction? I SAID GOOD DAY!

It would help prospective GMs if you told us your timezone and the game system you want to play.  For example, there’s no point a GM in Sydney, Australia offering you a game if you’re in Los Angeles, USA. The timezones don’t work well.
AHA! That makes sense. We are in CST time zone in Missouri. looking to play DND5E

I'm also in Missouri in CST.   I'm a forever DM, and I have a lot of free time.   I also have several adventures I've written that are either stand alone or part of a story arc.  It's set in the World of Greyhawk in the Free and Independent Lands of Dyvers, and I've been running D&D 5E the original since 2016.   Pathfinder before that for several years, including running several Pathfinder Society mods for online play and at conventions going back to 2009, and D&D 3.5 and 4.0 before that, and so on....  Currently I'm just running the original 5E.      Originally, I wrote the mods  for some conventions I was attending to run there, and they (and I as DM)  became so popular with the attendees  that I continued writing new ones for each successive convention.  I've also run them online for a while.  I can easily set up a Discord channel for you all, with handouts, character sheets if you're not using DND Beyond and Beyond 20 on Roll 20 where I already have the first adventure up and ready to go,  The channel would have a private place just for each character to ask questions or find out information that others don't know about, etc.   My background was in theater in high school, college, and beyond, so doing the "voices" of the NPC's and monsters is something I'm an old hand at.  I also do most of my own maps as well using Campaign Cartographer 3+.    At conventions, I've played with children who hadn't played yet, and also others who were new, and can easily and patiently teach you how to play.  To be a player is fairly easy.  You have to learn how to move your character token and decide what character to roll up, and what actions to take each round, but other than that, it's something you can learn in a couple of sessions.  So whether you wish just a couple or more one shots to learn how to play, I can help you with that.  If you decide you'd like me to continue, I'm up for that as well.  I've also run several campaigns in different places and such, with different aspects from easy going High Fantasy to the down and gritty Dark Ages Low Fantasy with a lot of intrigue and more content and quantity.  It's unlike anything anyone has ever played before.    I'm including a smaller and less detailed (for size) campaign map of the Lands of Dyvers I made.   You can PM here if you're interested.

I'd be happy to help. I have too much free time lol. I've only ran 5e games. Are you planning on playing the 2024 edition? (Assuming you're playing DnD, right?) That would limit how much I would really be able to help.  I can definitely help with figuring out roll20 and some helpful encounter building tools and stuff. Discord would make it a lot easier to communicate if you're willing to join a little server I set up (just for notes/scheduling on a game I've ran for my family). Send a PM if you're intrested.
I am US pacific time.
