[Online][PF1E][GMT+1] Long-running group seeking 1 long-term player for an in-progress homebrew story campaign set in the Forgotten Realms!

This group is LGBTQ+ friendly and have a zero tolerance towards mistreatment of other people. We are looking for a 25+ player. [~18:30/00-23:00] Tuesdays GMT +1 (Oslo, Paris, etc) Hello there! I'm Loke, and I'm the Dungeon Master in this lil' group. Some of us have been playing together for six years - after the first campaign we added another to our cast circa 2020. And then another midways through our previous campaign. One of our players has recently found themselves busy and overwhelmed with work etc., and so we're looking for that new long-term member of our company! This is a highly regular group, meaning we've skipped only a handful of sessions the past years, so you can expect weekly sessions and a consistent group with fun and banter, music and ambiance etc.! Added below you'll find a Google Form to fill out. That's for the information we need about you! If we like the application and feel like you might be a good fit for us, and vice/versa, we'll give you a nudge on Discord (a must-have!). So what's the story? The Threads of Fate are woven throughout time and space - but to what extent do they dictate the lives of mortals? Once in a blue moon, fate-touched individuals are born in the Forgotten Realms, and they may very well change the course of history. One such individual came in the form of a pale elf, one born outside the influence of the gods themselves. He gathered the elven tribes of the world, defeated the Demon Prince and deity Lolth to free the Drow of their curse - and joined his kin together as one great nation of elvendom, taking the former nation of Elturgard as their new home during the capital's absence in Avernus. They brought peace and prosperity to the land, and all who reside within its borders are safe and content. Ten years have passed. Now, new individuals touched by Fate have emerged - and with dark clouds on the horizon, political tensions rising in the Sword Coast, and questions regarding their own destinies, they must find the truth of the greatest prophecy in centuries - and may well find that they too are at the very center. What path will their search for missing pieces to the puzzle take them on? What motivations do the dark forces of the Raven Queen they seek to oppose truly hold? Are the Lord's Alliance's fears of elven power unfounded? Questions are rife, the path unknown, but at the end lie answers - whatever they may be. Now then, if you find that snippet intriguing, what is this group all about? Here's some of what you may want to know about us and what we're looking for: We are looking for one (1) player, somebody who's able to dedicate themselves to a potentially years-long over-arching story through multiple campaigns, show up weekly and on time - or at least give due notice when late or absent. We'd like a player who engages in RP, and is able to approach scenes seriously or with humor as the tone fits. We are about one third through the story of this campaign (level 6, although the true story has only just begun), and it happens to be a perfect time to jump in! Should you happen to join us, you and I will work on your character together to make sure you feel up to date enough and have a personal connection to the story and world! This group is heavily RP-focused. That doesn't mean there won't be combat, but there may be times where we go several sessions without combat. The players generally set the pace of this game, meaning there is plenty of opportunity for extended RP where you want. Each player can expect a personal character-arc with each campaign, whatever form that takes depending on your character's background and story. That means you'll get your own side-story at some point, usually in some way tied to the main or a bi-plot, but significant to your background story or character development. This also means you should be invested in the other characters and their stories because we will spend some time exploring them. This game is a milestone campaign, which means you level up as you complete significant plot points or further the story. You do not gain XP. This campaign is a custom-written story set in the Forgotten Realms , following ten years after the events of our previous campaign - Descent Into Avernus - and will be part of our "canon". Every campaign I run will affect the world in some way going forward, and there is a long-term overarching plan for this. If you prefer modules, this won't be the campaign for you, but we may well base an adventure on a module in the future (albeit I *will* take liberties, expand/re-write in any case). Despite being set in the traditional D&D setting, we use the Pathfinder 1e system. You should have some familiarity with it simply because starting a new number-heavy system at level 6 is pretty demanding OR put in proper effort to learn it (we'll help, of course!) This game is very story-driven , meaning there is a relatively set goal in mind (for me), which will become clearer as the story progresses. That means that the players won't know exactly what the end goal is for the moment - rather part of the story is about figuring out what said goal is. As such, the players are expected to remember that the DM is also a 'player' in a sense. There is a story to be told , but it is your story and your actions will define the course of it - how you accomplish your goals, or even fail. We use Roll20 and Discord, with Dynamic Lighting which may at times be somewhat demanding of your computer when we use very large battlemaps. If you end up joining us, I (the DM) will spend a good amount of time "integrating" you into this campaign, but you also need to make an effort in this regard! Currently the party consists of four, with some brief info below: Wilkspheria (Cavalier/Fighter) - A young elven maiden from the newly founded elven capital of Tel'Ennamis, finds herself drawn by a dream to leave her old life behind. Once a prodigy of the city's military academy, old traumas weigh heavy on her mind as she must strive to fulfil the destiny her mentor has secretly been preparing her for. Gregory (Black-powder Magus) - A battle-scarred veteran of Elturel's vampiric incursion decades past, this old grump of a dwarf found himself drawn from the bottoms of numerous bottles. Trapped by Fate and re-discovering the world, his old views and attitudes will be challenged time and again - for better or for worse. Iraeth (Arcanist) - As a drow who escaped Menzoberranzan before the death of Lolth, now confronted with the thriving nation of Tel'Ennamis, he is forced to face a lingering distrust towards his own people - all while seeking the answers to his own destiny and place in the world. Viewer (Oracle) - Burdened with a loss of memory, not knowing whence he came or who he truly is, this golden-haired aasimar must seek not only the meaning of his ties to Fate - but questions of his own past and origin to boot. If this group and game seems like what you're looking for, and you think you would like to come tell stories with us, please fill out the form linked below! Please note that this is the only way to apply, we won't be reading through comments if there are too many! https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfckalt6OZ7wuHof74RjGEUCUaQdWYkfkXpOdCUNbrcq8xqbQ/viewform?usp=sf_link P.S.!!! - We're doing our yearly group-meetup this weekend, and won't likely respond/contact anybody between Friday and Monday!

Yeah, repeating what SD said, it's super common for forms or applications to be done on Google Forms or other things. It's not very fair to say that "links aren't kosher" when it's more than acceptable to recruit people this way.

It's legitimately just a google forms link, I'm sure you can use some kinda website to check its authenticity or something if you're feeling nervous! Otherwise, we wish you all the best!
Used the google form link myself, 100% no varus :D
Have there been any updates yet? : )

Ray said: Have there been any updates yet? : ) Hey! So in the form we had a question where you could leave a Reddit username, which is the only convenient way to contact people when we're dealing with so many (I don't want to add dozens of people on my personal Discord, and I can't manage several different sites :s) and want to let everybody know what we go for or don't - I'm pretty sure I've contacted everybody who left one, perhaps you didn't? In any case I'm afraid we've gone through all the applications for this go-'round and selected those we feel would be a right fit for us, our games, and for the player in question, but we really appreciate your time and interest!

And no worry, have fun! : 3
