A land slowly reawakens from the fog of a devastating war which threw the land back to a medieval level of technology while war brews again to the north. Powers slumber beneath stone and in forests, and strange adn deadly things prowl the roads at night. The Barony of Restenford has many evils which gnaw at the peace and order the humans try to build; a dark cabal of traders, a powerful hag who manipulates politics and deadly gangs of goblins and bandits, and a cursed and ruined castle and forest which raises any who die as undead minions. Forests and hills are home to dark shrines, haunted graveyards, and deadly beasts. An enterprising adventurer could make their name and fame, and the gratitude of Restenford. a strange and dark land, crouching in the faded shadow of a
centuries-ago war, the ruins of the lost civilization just beneath the
rocky ground, groves full of dark fey and restless graveyards,
monsterous bandits stalking darkened roads, and a suspicious and
superstitious population who huddle behind guarded gates and ward the
spirits from their door with circles of salt.
Enjoy hardcore-style play with tactical combat, unbalanced
encounters, and clever monsters! Make choices that affect the world!
Create a character that will become a hero, make a name for themselves,
and work to fight the growing darkness! Play in the spirit of OSR in the
D&D Basic module updated for 5e! It is very much a sandbox, with
NPCs, locations, and secrets to unlock! New players will start at lvl 10. standard array, no flying races/species.

This may be an old module, but it has been creatively adapted with
opportunities for 5e skill and action mechanics, with plenty of
opportunity to bring in backstories and roleplay!

us Tuesday night at 9:30pm central! We have two elven fighter/rogues, a changeling sorcerer, and an elven artificer from another reality, as well as several NPCs.
