Howdy, I'm looking for 2-4 DMs to join me in the creation of a West Marches style campaign taking place in the Eberron setting. Campaign Format: The server and campaign will last for approximately 1 year from start to finish. In terms of how it will operate: The campaign will run in a West March style, with no set group of players or game times/days. DMs will post sessions being run whenever they are available, and players will form groups to sign up for them. We will use a shared Roll20 room to host and run games, and Discord voice for communication. The server itself will be for chatting, communicating, announcements, text roleplay, and other community based processes. Information on the campaign’s rules, the lore of the setting, and any other important information will be hosted on a World Anvil page. System: D&D 5e. Primarily, we're using the 2014 rules, though selective parts of the 2024 ruleset are planned to be plugged into the game, in addition to homebrewed changes the DM team collectively agrees to add to the campaign. At the time of writing, the server is intended to use a version of Gritty Realism rest rules found in the 2014 DMG, with Short Rests being set to 8 hours, and Long Rests being set to 1 week. Character resources like Spell Slots, Hit Die, and recharged abilities will be spent throughout the week, then reset at the start of the next week. Date/Time: Date and Time of sessions will be entirely DM dependent. You have no obligation to run games at any given time, and the freedom to run games at any given time. The two DMs on board at the time of posting operate in the PDT (me) and GMT +2 time zones. Whatever time zone you operate in, we will be able to work with it. Your Role: Run games, help plan the direction and content of the server, and have fun. You'll need a Roll20 account and a Discord account to participate. You would work with other DMs to lay out game plans, share resources (like maps, books, modules, etc.) and brainstorm how to weave games and their events into a shared world that will change over the course of a year. In addition, DMs will be free to help create and evaluate errata rules, mechanics, homebrew items, and suggest class/subclass changes. You don't need to be an expert or well-versed in the lore or the setting to DM; we're learning it ourselves and can get up to speed together. Shoot me a PM if you're interested with your screen name (or whatever you want to be called), experience DMing, and why you're interested. Or if you have any questions.
