Intro Curse of Stahd is an 5e module that is based upon the Ravenloft module released in 1983. Adventerurs are drawn into the realm of Barovia through various mysterious methods and become trapped within a deadly fog. A gothic horror adventure that takes the players through the mysterious land of Barovia and how the party survives to tell the tale, if they survive that is... Module The module will take the players through levels 1-10 allowing those learning the system to experience the system's beginnings and explore character creation. The story is an adaption of the module in which major locations and NPCs will remain, as well as the addition of new smaller locations and NPCs to flavor the story and source more interaction with the setting. Hook Under raging storm clouds, the vampire Count Strahd von Zarovich stands silhouetted against the ancient walls of Castle Ravenloft. Rumbling thunder pounds the castle spires. The wind's howling increases as he turns his gaze down toward the village of Barovia. Far below, yet not beyond his keen eyesight, a party of adventurers has just entered his domain. Strahd's face forms the barest hint of a smile as his dark plan unfolds. He knew they were coming, and he knows why they came—all according to his plan.
