Greetings and well met (that was a geeky thing to say)! For almost a year I have been running a successful campaign, that began in my basic DnD longtime homebrew setting and main city but currently taking place on The Isle of Dread (sort of DnD lost world prehistoric setting). IoD was one of the first high adventure wilderness settings for the game, and I'm currently using the 5 th edition update. It's gone well but over time a couple players had to bow out for now (though we all still play together in other campaigns on other nights) due to commitments on the night. But its been going great and though there are still 3 stalwart participants I'd like to see if I can find another person or two who might like to jump in to an ongoing thing and get to run a higher-level character (they are 5 th level right now I think). This current group is a fun gang of people and I think if you played with them you would soon start wishing you had met them years ago to play games with. They are cool, funny, and into their characters and often take the bull by the horns in terms of role play banter (but not exactly community theater). And would be welcoming to anybody who was at least a bit outgoing and into character development as much as the action. We play most Saturday nights Pacific time for around 3 hours, starting between 630 and 7. Yep, attending a regular thing on a Saturday night is your first hurdle. It's hard on me so it might be on you. But I try to make the donation of prime time worth the hours in terms of edge of your seat DnD sense of wonder and fun. This campaign could easily go more than a dozen more sessions (on the island but could go a long time back in the mainland) with the group size bolstered, and new characters could set off new hooks and situations. I am a big pundit for "emergent gameplay" and the very presence of new characters would most certainly change things up. And whenever it ends if you have fun maybe you'll want to join future campaigns. The couple of players who are not able to play right now were ladies, and with one lady left in the three it would be great if we could balance things out with more (but any gender or persuasion or nice respectful philosophy is welcome). Only looking for one or two folk who can jump in, so PM me about your possible interest or questions and comments and about your gaming background, what you like in a game, etc etc and maybe we can talk possibilities!
