Current Situation
Character sheet authors have the option of adding the "token_action" class to a roll button when designing a sheet. This has the effect of automatically, and without user intervention, make this roll button appear as an option on the token action bar. Players are unable to toggle this behaviour for themselves as it is embedded into the sheet itself. They also have no option to change the display name of the token action. It is not possible to use this featire with roll buttons that are within character sheet repeating sections
The Proposal
Provide a feature that allows players to choose a roll button from a character sheet and add it as a token action. This feature should also allow them to change the display name (on their token action bar) of the button but should not allow them to edit the roll button macro itself. Ideally, this should also be possible if the roll button is within a repeating section too. By giving players control over which roll buttons they choose to setup as token actions they can choose the rolls that are most relevant to them instead of having these decisions forced on them by the sheet author. This also means that, for the most frequently used sheet features/rolls, there should be significantly less need for players to open their sheet therefore improving the user experience and in many cases reducing the need for a "second screen" type experience to view character sheets
The End Goal
Players should have some mechanism for choosing to toggle whether a roll button on a character sheet is displayed for them as a token action, as well as being able to set their own display name for it.
