Linking tokens on different layers

So I have these animated token surrounds, I love them but they are kind of big and get in the way so I've been putting them on the foreground layer. So is there an API, macro, work around that would take the surround on the foreground or map layer and link it to the token on the token layer so they move with each other kind of like how tracker jacker or bump do?

The Bump Mod by The Aaron might be a good place to start. https://app.roll20.net/forum/permalink/8584976/
Oh Thank you but I'm not good at coding, I was hoping there was something that already did this. I tried to use the Carry API but it only works on the same layer.

The Foreground layer is kind of new and Jumpgate only, so Mods that handle it are few. I think your idea is a good one, though, and should be a use case for getting Bump etc., updated. Edit: I’ve started a thread about it in the Mods forum.

I would probably start with TokenCondition. I should modify it to support the Foreground layer.
Hey OP, I have those as well and this is how I handle it. Drag to the token layer right click on it send it to the back move it behind NPC/PC token highlight both of them advance transformation > group lock but yeah - make sure that is sent to the back of the token layer and/or NPC/PC token is sent to the front of the token layer. Then group lock it. You can also do this with other animated spell abilities if you have those or other spell tokens on map - you can send it to the back, thus allowing you to click on other tokens inside the spell token (IE: Fog Cloud, etc)
Yeah this does work but the problem with it is that grouping tokens gets rid of token bubbles Novercalis said: Hey OP, I have those as well and this is how I handle it.
