LOOKING FOR DM

Heyo, my friends and I are looking to start playing dnd 5e and need a dm. We're a group of 4, with little to no experience with dnd. It'll be a learning experience for us so we're not looking for anything too serious. We plan on playing Friday, once a week, but that can change if need be!

Hi! It would help us if you told us your time zone . For example, a DM in Sydney Australia can’t really help players in Los Angeles USA because the time zones don’t work out. 

Oh I can't believe I forgot to mention that, we're all in EST USA

Are u guys wanting to do modules or homebrew campaigns

I mean, i dont know what they want, but for new players, prebuilt modules would most likely be better for them (speaking as an ex-RPGA/DCI judge and AL DM) while the modules arent as personalized as homebrew or custom campaigns, they are consistant and usually include a lvl 1 - 3 section that written with a very specific "ramp up" of the complexity of the encounters that is good for easing players into the game

To be honest, we have no preference. This will just be a learning experience for us. So whatever would work

Hey Skyler, I have not tried this personally, I only found out it existed this last week, but have you guys thought about an AI GM? The GM in one of my games told me he thought he might lose a player to AI.  I thought he was being funny, but apparently one of his players with an AI subscription has the AI being the GM, the other players and all the NPCs and the guy plays solo.  This isn't for me, and probably not for people who enjoy the social aspect, but if your group wants to game and you like hanging out together already, maybe an AI GM would work until you find a human one. Hello Skyler, best of luck on your search for a DM. I answered a message where a group of friends were looking for a DM and ran a game for them for four years. It was nice compared to the usual run of the mill group of internet strangers most games get. They showed up for the games, participated, and talked out problems. Probably one of my best experiences on Roll20.   It would be a perfect learning experience for someone wanting to learn to DM in my opinion.  Unfortunately I don't run 5.x games or I'd be seriously considering taking you up on your request. From my experience groups like yours are some of the more enjoyable to run games for. Best of luck on your search!
