Ascension Station, FMC's most profitable research outpost (conveniently located well outside the jurisdiction of the Pact Worlds... for the cheap real estate) has gone dark. No communications have been received in two weeks. Desperate to find out the problem and salvage what they can from their investment, FMC has hired a group of plucky, fearless, expendable, discount adventurers to handle the issue. No offense What to Expect: This is an introductory level mini-campaign. Characters will be starting from level 1 using Races and Classes from the Core Rulebook. A fully self-contained adventure filled with strange characters, challenging enemies, and open-ended puzzles. Rule of Cool: While we'll be following the Rules as Written for Character Creation (and for those who find character creation intimidating I've provided a starter template for each character class you can work with), during the game itself I'll generally lean on the side of the Rule of Cool. This is a fun little rump through a derelict science lab, not King Lear. Guidelines: Create a character that will cooperate with the other players in the group. This is an adventure about a team of individuals investigating lost research labs. Any character who wouldn't be a part of that team, or would refuse to go on that mission, is not part of that story.
