How to make the game room not to sync the 'as' character name through multiple windows?

Because of various reason I am always use two windows when I play as GM, put a GM window and a player window. But, since some years ago the new game rooms are sync the chosen A s: selection for both window, make it very annoying to use. Such as, if a window choose character 1, the other windows are also do the same and choose the character 1, if a window choose character 2, the other windoes are also do the same as well, that makes using multiple windows almost moot. After all, able to choose the DIFFERENT name is the reason for use the multiple windows, so it must be gone for good if I want to play as GM. I have checked that switch the voice/chat settings may make it stop to sync between both windows, and some years ago I did managed to stop sync between two windows, but I cannot repeat it for now and all I could is copy the old game room that already has this state. So is there anyone still do this with the new room? At least I can copy the room to use for the new game, but how to repeat this?

Hi Arm ..,  It sounds like you are using the same browser and same account for both windows, this is not recommended. It can cause confusion in the system.  If you are going to use two windows the best practice is to use either two different browsers or use the same browser with one standard and one incognito/private window.  Next, Roll20 can get confused if the same account is logged in twice (GM and player mode simultaneously). Some of that is mitigated via the two browser solution above, but the best practice is to use a dummy account .  Please give these solutions a try, see if that clears up your problem you are having.

I would do this with a separate Free account alongside my Gaming account. For example, this is my GMing account, but AndrewTBP is my Free player account using my backup email address. Edit: Ninjas!
Yep, I use the same account and the same browser, of course. I know there could be some confusions, such as if I refresh the window the last logged status is applied(such as if I enter as GM after then player to make two window, then if I refresh the GM window it become the player window). But as long as it does not sync it is nothing problematic while play the game. And it was possible to make it not to sync, also for now I do have some games still not to sync so I could play it well on this game. The problem is I have to copy from one of these rather than make a whole new one when I want to make a brand new game room. I do have the dummy account but I try not to use it as I could. It would be the worst solution to me.

It is possible to cause data mismatches using this practice, and in extreme cases, actually damage the contents of your game. Gauss is understating when he says this is not recommended. We might be able to help you come up with alternate solutions if you can give us more information about why the suggested methods are not optimal.
