DnD 5e 2014 rules PITCH After finishing up a long 8 year multi group campaign, I've decided to dip my toes into a new world. Welcome to Velumina. A cataclysmic event known as The Separation split the world in half centuries ago. Those from the east, formerly law abiding citizens dedicated to formal justice, turned ravenous and rebellious upon the Separation. Bound by the law of the Eastern bank who came into power shortly after and still vye for the crown, the people here suffer at the hands of evil. Those to the west became the antithesis. Where once the land was free for criminals to roam, the west is now prosperous, relying on barter and trade nearly nullifying the use of coin in many fashions. The Western Bank, an institution which once kept checks and balances... Well, in check.... Has crumbled. It is now nothing but ruins known as The Shattered Bank and is home to the small class of criminals that populate the west. Connecting these two masses of Velumina is the plate. When the Separation happened, a tectonic plate erupted from the center of Velumina which now acts as The Bridge. The Bridge is a horrific set of trials designed to only allow the most powerful traverse from east to west and vice versa. None that have entered from either side have ever come back or emerged from the other side. This knowledge is not publicly available as the two sides cannot communicate. The reason being is a viscous substance known as The River of Ruin. The River of Ruin is a thick black liquid that continues to keep the planet of Velumina intact. Passage through the River of Ruin is impossible as any material is immediately swallowed whole by the tar. Those who have tried to fly over have had their wings clipped by blackened tendrils pulling them deep below the surface of the tar. Hiveminds, Guilds, Homebrew Herbalism, Monsters, and Races await those who would like to take a shot at my second campaign. As with my first adventure, I'll be running a few groups until I find the right chemistry of players. I will be running sessions on Saturday and Sunday at 1pm Central Time. There's a lot of lore to go over but I figure the gist of it is located in this post. If there's any questions you need answered feel free to message me on here as I will always have notifications on my phone. I'm planning a level 3 start with 1 free feat. Journeys will eventually take us to The Bridge but for now we will be exploring the intricacies of politics, preparing for war, and dealing with beasts of legend using homebrew mechanics and just as much by the books stuff. Expect 30%combat and 70% roleplay with a heavy focus on tying the players stories together in a way that still can surprise. About me : I am a DM who makes all his own maps on inkarnate and allows players to find their own way through his worlds. Hoping to find some laid back people who are willing to use only published material.
Hello, I would be interested in Saturday games if you have an opening? I have several years of experience in 5e, dm'd a couple games. I enjoy both combat and roleplay.  For classes I prefer rogues and clerics but I can play any class depending on what the party needs. As for alignment I adjust based on the group, so I will have several characters prepared. Let me know if there is a spot available!
