Search API doesn't accept accent

Hello If I try to search the word " lumière " (the french word for "light"), I get the following error with the Search API function. Do you have any idea how to resolve this situation? Thanks in advance    Error: Token 1: Misplaced or incorrectly formatted item "lumière" Please correct the above Errors and resubmit your command.

Hi Phil'Ed,  Which API Script are you looking for? To confirm, you are searching for a script in the API Mod Library dropdown? (see screenshot) Or are you using the Mod (API Script) called "Search"?

That's definitely the Search API Script.  I'll have to see about reproducing that error.
Hello @The Aaron : Yes, it is the search API Script. Many thanks in advance

Is it possible to get an answer? It’s quite frustrating to submit a bug and not receive any feedback. This doesn’t exactly feel customer satisfaction. The Search API does not work with special characters (é, è, à, …). Many languages include special characters in their writing. Should I conclude that Roll20 is only focused on English and does not respect customers using another language… I’m not very happy about not getting a response after 1 month...

Roll20 is not responsible for creating Mod scripts. Mod scripts are created by other users for free and shared with the community. Roll20 has simply created the interface for Mod scripts (API) to interact with games. The Search script was written by The Aaron over 8 years ago. He has commented here in this thread already, but it's likely that he is busy with other priorities.  Unfortunately any updates are simply up to the original creator taking the time to make those updates, or for someone else to step in if they are not willing/able to update them. Many scripts were written by people who longer play on Roll20 or contribute scripts any more. Posting here on the forums is not the same as reporting a bug. Bugs are typically posted in the Roll20 Bug Reports & Technical Issues Forum , or through a Help Center request . But a script error is not a bug that Roll20 is responsible for fixing, so they would just refer you back to this forum to request help. :)
