This is an example of the External Old Compendium: https://roll20.net/compendium/dnd5e/Monsters%20List?Source=3#content But, for D&D there is now a new external compendium that works better, but is still a work in progress: https://roll20.net/compendium/dnd5e/v2/listings/Monsters?pageNumber=1 Well, that's disheartening. Gauss said: Regarding your in-game filter use, it shouldn't be behaving that way. Which in-game compendium are you using? I assume I'm using the old one, since this is a long existing D&D game. It is not related to the age of the game, it is a setting in the My Settings tab. Based on an earlier comment I suspect it is Old Compendium. I would switch to the New Compendium when you want to use the filter.
