While some of the bigger kingdoms around vied with military might, Somnecce's strategy of being the ultimate trading hub flourished in an age when money talked. Countless boats came to its ports, into its canals, and onto its streets. The money coming in was reinvested into museums, art galleries, opera houses, masquerades, observatories, universities, and all such forward thinking luxurious living. The campaign is rather sandbox and the players should expect about a 50-50 split on slow, explanative combat and rich roleplay.
