Hello! I'm Wes, I'm looking for 3-5 players to join my Dungeons and Dragons Campaign called "Cookbook of the Gods."  I've been a GM for almost four years now and pride myself in having an inclusive and open table. My characters run the gamut of all kinds of people, but I tend to focus on queer and LBTQ+ stories. I'm coming back to running a Dungeons and Dragons game after two years of not having run a game. This will be a medium length campaign with players starting at level 3.  My campaign takes place in a home-brew world, and has a few elements I came up with myself such as magical tattoos for a nice little stat boost or funky cantrips! For more information feel free to look below! GENERAL CONTENT WARNING: This campaign includes dark themes such as body horror, violence, and loss of autonomy. Players will be required to fill out a consent form so any content covered in the campaign doesn't cross any lines. SETTING The setting is a home brewed world, Issador, which is loosely based on Viking culture and Norse mythology. There's a lot of medieval elements and it's a low magic world.  Issador is a heavily forested region with lots of mountains and winding rivers where many things can hide and emerge in the perpetual fog. It is a place where people go to hide if they have something to hide. Many years ago they went through a massive civil war that decimated the country, now all that remains are scattered ruins and the whispers of ghosts. All those who fought have died and those who have survived don't speak about what Issador was like before. Even the gods have gone silent. Issador is slowly pulling itself back together, piece by piece, but those efforts might soon come under threat.  PLOT "In the mountains of Issador, a place filled with dark forests, abyssal lake, and winding rivers, something awakens. Something which should be dead." The plot center arounds the death, and possible revival, of gods of old. The players will have to go through Issador, confronting personal ghosts, undoing old curses, and discovering long-buried secrets. The players, whoever they may be, are called by the Council. Something is brewing, it shifts through the air, bringing with it the smell of something heavy and dark, the kind that makes the hairs on the back of the neck stand up. Each player has been called for their own reason, whether they chose to reveal it is up to them. What matters is the near herculean task they've been given, gather the missing pages of the mythic "Cookbook" and bring back the old gods before it's too late. The "Cookbook" is a mythic artifact said to give the reader the ability to bring back the dead, heal the sick, and even kill a god.  Nitty Gritty It will mostly likely be an RP heavy, light combat campaign, but it will be adjusted per the people at the table. All character sheets, maps, and other campaign information will be stored in Roll20. Players should have access to a computer and a microphone as sessions will be held on a Discord voice channel. Please contact me through Start Playing or through Discord (sadclownvibes). All players will be required to fill a consent form before the campaign begins. Other safety tools, character creation, and any other questions will be answered in Session 0. I look forward to playing with you! The full listing through Start Playing can be found here !
