Session Log of Events - October 12, 2014 Players receive anonymous note and horse and arrive at seaside village inn of southernmost part of Keoland. Players settle in over ale, talk to tavern patrons, and learn of unsettling news of area hauntings driving tourists and locals away (Roleplaying 100/200XP). Gruuder shares anonymous note with city councilman Gunter. Gunter asks to borrow note for future examination. Guuder refuses. At midnight bangings and goings on outside the tavern occur and customers flee to rooms. Bar owner barricades door. Players investigate, find nothing, retire for the night and then return in the morning for breakfast. Players take their provided mounts and ride to abandoned mansion high above a seaside cliff a good distance from the town. Party enters house and proceeds upstairs Sylvar jumps over moldy floor area and goes down west corridor, enters first room on left, then enters room and opens cupboard. Dred walks over moldly balcony floor and falls to ground floor taking damage. Arydien the priest applies 8 points of cure to Dred (100 XP) Sylvar opens cupboard, robe falls out. Sylvar examines robe then dies from yellow mold inside garment. Gruuder examines rooms down east hallway. Arydien opens far east room to reveal captive. Arydien learns the captive name is Ned. Gruuder casts blur on self and unties captive feet. Gruuder applies cure disease potion on Sylvar and 2 Resurrection potions with Sylvar failing both resurrection rolls over 90% but lives losing 4 points of constitution. Arydian for pulling railing over to make safe walkway over moldy, unsafe floor balcony (100 XP) Arydien takes precautions and burns yellow mold for (65 XP) Sylvar imbibs a cure light wounds potion for full health. Gruuder picks up fist sized crystal from first east room fireplace. Arydian finds 2 large spiders! Gruuder makes a quickness skill check. Party kills 3 large spiders for 525 xp (gruuder squishes 2, arydien smashes 1), one spider escapes. Sylvar explores rooms in north hallway, opening chests and examining contents finding a document in magic writing. Sylvar gives Ned a bundle of clothing that he finds in a barrel of rotted fabric rolls (alignment failure - XP penalty applied).
