Problem with imported character sheet from another game

One of my players created a character in one of my games intended to be used in another of my games. I have a pro account. I went through the process of importing that character sheet into my other game. Now, everytime I try to edit that imported character sheet to give them the ability to edit it in the other game, it keeps giving me a pop-error message of "can't change/edit owner...blah blah blah" and refuses to let me make an edits or changes. I can't even remove the problem sheet from my own game, the Remove From Game button(s) do nothing. How do I get rid of it? It's obviously bugged.

Hi Robert! This is intended to be a feature, though I agree. I don't like this behavior. When a user creates a character, it is considered theirs. The Gm has limited control over it. Frustratingly, this includes the ability to delete it from their own game. Your best be for resolution is to file a  Help Center Request  and get a team member to resolve it. Afterward I would suggest creating blank characters yourself and turning off import if you also find this behavior to be unwanted. The player can build the character from the blank you provide them.

Hi Robert R.,  To elaborate on what Keith wrote:  If a user clicks the +Character button that character is placed in the Roll20 Characters feature.  All player created Roll20 Characters Characters (say that 3 times fast) belong to the player.  If a GM clicks the +Character button then assigns it to the player it does not get placed in the Roll20 Characters feature.  The GM has full control over that character.  How to migrate the character via either the Transmogrifier or the Character Vault:  Open the character, click Edit, click Duplicate.  Migrate the Duplicate.  The original is forever stuck as your player's character.  Personally, I recommend disallowing characters from Roll20 Characters in your game.  You can turn off the ability for players to import characters from Roll20 Characters or for players to create characters (thus linking them to Roll20 Characters) in the Game Settings page for your game.  Go to Roll20.net Click the name of your game (not Launch!) Click Settings Click Game Settings Switch the following two settings to "no": Allow players to create their own Characters? Allow players to transfer Characters? From that point on you won't have this problem, but you will have to click the +Create button and then assign the character to the player where they can finish creating the character. And your players will not be able to transfer the character from game to game (you can still do so) and the player will not have the character linked to Roll20 Characters.
