{LFG][D&D e5][Homebrew] Inclusive and diverse space, LGBTQ+ friendly space. Need players for my long term campaign.

Adventurers, mercenaries, sells words. I am Sayo, your DM for this homebrew D&D adventure. I am recruiting 4-5 players in my new campaign. Sessions are Saturdays biweekly at evenings usually around 6pm EST. Sessions last from 4-5 hours. We will use Discord for voice calls. This is a diverse and inclusive space, LGBTQ+ friendly table. Respect is number 1 on my tables. I myself is queer and I am Asian (Japanese/Filipino to be exact). I am nonbinary and my pronouns are They/Them. Thank you. My DMing style is rule of cool and chill. I go with the flow of the players and let the dice tell their stories. I have about 12 years experience playing tabletop, 2 years as a player and 10 years as a DM forever. Not by necessity, but by desire. I enjoy storytelling as much as I do love getting to see character grow and learn more about my homebrew world. The adventure will begin at level 3. I'm open to any source and homebrew content, just make sure to run things by me before using any unofficial content. I plan to run a long term campaign, going to level 14 at most. I will work with you to create your character to make them fit into my world. Campaign Premise: The world is in a time of healing and reconstruction. It has only been 20 years since the heroes gave their life to defeated the Archdemon and its void born monstrosities, yet as it perished, it cast a final spell! Great barriers of magic enclosing each continent, sealing its people away from the worlds beyond. They are now trapped, prisoners of the very lands they fought to save. Now the kingdom has taken decisive action to finally break the magical walls that trap them. With the help of our adventurers, will freedom be possible within this lifetime? I'll need the following: Name Age Pronouns Do you have Discord? (Don't leave your discord tag until you've been chosen thank you) Experience in Tabletop or D&D Give me 2 character pitch to play in my homebrew campaign. What is your preferred playstyle?  What does a great D&D session feel like to you? Fun or Interesting Fact about you? Lastly a question just for fun.  When all the world forgets your name, what do you want your deeds to have meant?
Hey there! The name's Gavin, and let's go down the list. Name: Gavin Age: 21 Pronouns: He/Him I've got discord. I have played DND 5e for 4 years, and i'm in a WH40K wrath and glory campaign. Character pitch 1 (I'll keep these concise): Elygos, a young dragonborn boy and his family are the latest victims of a band of brigands. instead of leaving him to die, they take Elygos under their wing. Over the years, they teach him how to survive the untamed wilderness and the cutthroat world of bandit life. On a very lucrative highway robbery, right before they have the caravan in their clutches, Elygos accidentally spooks them and loses the crew their haul. The leader is so mad at him that Elygos is exiled. He then spends a year on the outskirts of a village, working and hunting to survive. One fateful day, he saves up enough money to catch a ride on a ship heading across the ocean. Elygos holds out hope that a new life awaits him across the shore. Character pitch 2 (more outlandish). Cassidy Greenstone is the daughter of a brilliant inventor; Brutus Greenstone. Brutus teaches Cassidy everything there is to know on magical tinkering. Over the years, Cassidy develops a love of tailoring and dyeing, spending most of her days creating magical cloth and clothing. One day, Cassidy comes down with a terrible sickness that stumps the clerics of her hometown. In a desperate bid to save his daughter's life, Brutus takes the soul from Cassidy and places it in a magical machine he has been working on. This gives rise to the warforged named Star. Life continues on until Brutus comes down with the same strange illness. Desperate to save her father, but lacking his skill, she ventures out looking for someone who can cure him. My preferred playstyle: Opportunist/Tactician. I love to use the environment and equipment I have to get the upper hand. This usually comes in the form of buffing allies and using the environment to pick off enemies. A few examples: Knocking over a dead tree onto an enemy, crushing them. Using create water to turn the ground to mud, slowing enemies down. Using heat metal on a warforged to do huge damage. For character archetypes,  I usually play healer or spellcaster characters, but i've been wanting to do martial classes as well. A great DND session: A great session to me is just a game where we're having fun, cracking jokes, and playing a cool campaign. Interesting fact: I love to forage! Right now is mushroom season, so I've been finding some cool mushrooms to eat. When the world forgets my name, I want my deeds to have helped the world. If my actions made someone's life better, or my actions stopped someone from suffering, then i'm happy. I hope we can make a super cool campaign happen.
Hi I'm interested! I have a friend who might be too, I'll msg her to leave a comment here! I like the sound of your campaign. Name: Reno, call me Supremo Age: 29 Pronouns: They/Them Do you have Discord?: Yes. Experience in Tabletop or D&D: About 4 years. Mostly as a player. My only experience is with dnd 5e with a full campaign.  Give me 2 character pitch to play in my homebrew campaign.: I have one in mind. Base on your campaign, I want to play as a Fighter Eldritch knight. I want to be some sort of adventuring researcher. Studying the magical barriers while being also a knight maybe serving the main kingdom. She's going to be a Aarakocra, if having a flying speed in my character is an issue she can be a Triton. But I'd love to work with you to make my character make sense in your world What is your preferred playstyle?: I love a good Roleplay session with chill vibes. But based on your homebrew I'd love a experience a lore heavy setting with more exploration. I am a note taker too, so give me all the lore! What does a great D&D session feel like to you?: Everyone having a moment to shine and having a great time! Nice roleplay moment where the party gets to bond. Fun or Interesting Fact about you?: I'm an okay artist, I would love to doodle and draw what goes on in the campaign if I can. Lastly a question just for fun.  When all the world forgets your name, what do you want your deeds to have meant?  :  A life that is honest and true to myself

Name: alex or psy works for me Age: 22 Pronouns: he/him Do you have Discord? (Don't leave your discord tag until you've been chosen thank you) yep Experience in Tabletop or D&D: A lot of watching it, and I’ve been playing for about 3 years, with some DM experience because I needed more D&D in my life. Give me 2 character pitches to play in my homebrew campaign: Okay, so first I was thinking of a Bard (College of Spirits), still deciding if the spirits are his dead mom and dad or something else. Lore-wise, I was thinking he got separated from his family at around 7 years old, right when the barriers came down, cutting him off from his parents and forcing him to adapt fast. He had a really rough childhood, but it shaped who he is. I have a few kinks in the concept that I’d need some campaign lore to smooth out. Next would be a Druid (Circle of the Sea), their family owned a ship used for trade across the lands, but now it’s stuck at port, bleeding them dry. With no way to work, they’ve been forced into a life of squalor, barely scraping by, living aboard their decaying ship and scavenging whatever gold or resources they can find. What is your preferred playstyle? I love roleplay, but I’m also a big people-watcher. I enjoy seeing how my fellow party members interact with the setting and each other, then playing off them or setting up scenes, building dynamics, and helping us all feel like true companions. What does a great D&D session feel like to you? When we’re discovering things about the setting, ourselves, or our companions. Add in some intense combat to keep us on edge, and that’s the perfect mix for me. Fun or Interesting Fact about you? I know some Mexican folkloric dances and used to be part of a group of dancers for a good while. Lastly, a question just for fun. When all the world forgets your name, what do you want your deeds to have meant? A real sense of legacy not one left to a bloodline, but one left to a people. Something that makes them say, “Wow, we should make a holiday in honor of this.” Haven't really messed with the races on them cuz I'm not sure on them yet
Thank you for those that have replied and showed their interest. I will keep the post up until this coming Monday Nov 10th before picking my players. I already do have a few promising character pitches in the replies. Wish to see more.
