5e d&d best practices

Hi there I watched the videos, subscribed and ran a few encounters, all good. I'm wondering if anyone has posted a set of 5e d&d macros and best practices? The Next listing here is out of date / stale: https://wiki.roll20.net/Category:Guides There's been some chatter on the Wizards forums about how good roll20 is, it may be worth it to create some guidance for folks who want to adopt the system! thanks!

Actoba develops the D&D 5E character sheet for Roll20, and has a thread about it + a wiki for it. The character sheet has lots of built-in macros and some of the discussion about how to do 5e macros is in the Character sheet forum thread for his 5e sheet development. That may help you with your questions, https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/1108598/dnd-5e-s... find his link to the Wiki for it, within that thread also P.s. Can you link us back to the Wizards forum topic(s) that talks about R20?
Here's a simple attack macro that I originally based my macros off of for D&D 5e. It rolls two attacks at the same time, so if you have advantage, you just take the higher roll. Disadvantage, the lower roll. Neither, the first roll. /me attacks... Melee Attack - Dagger [[1d20 + @{DEX Mod} + @{Proficiency}]] | [[1d20 + @{DEX Mod} + @{Proficiency}]] vs AC [[1d4 + @{DEX Mod}]] piercing damage The macro's I use now are a bit more complex (and take advantage of my power card api script), but the base is essentially the same. I just use two sets of four attributes on the character sheet to add equipped weapons (Mainhand, offhand).
Thank you both - is there a tutorial regarding how to load up the character sheets? The video blew through that. Here's a link to one of the posts regarding VTT: http://community.wizards.com/forum/dungeon-master-... Wizards is notoriously unsearchable, I've read others but cant locate them...

To load the character sheet --- as GM, just go on your Campaign Details page (the webpage of your campaign, NOT in the join-game itself). Look for Settings button on the left side. Once clicked to Settings page, scroll down and you'll see the dropdown link for choosing 5E character sheet. P.S. That was an interesting read of the Wizards forum commentators on VTT's. Someone should post and show them this link (The link to all of the 5E games on Roll20 that are currently looking for players today on any given day): https://app.roll20.net/lfg/search/?days=&dayhours=...
