"Most Barovians know no god, only the devil. Scarce few remain who remember the Morninglord's light or the vibrant life of Hala's woods. Two centuries has passed since anyone spoke of a miracle... until you. A group of people who woke one day to hear the last faint whispers of the divine. The question is, do you answer the call? Should you? Under the ever-watchful shadow of castle Ravenloft, the flesh of the earth is decaying." Hi, I'm Sandra, a forever-DM currently on my second venture into Barovia. While I first ran Curse of Strahd by the book, this time I have put my own spin on the setting. The Barovia I have built over the years is heavily influenced by victorian gothic and folk horror. These themes (and spooky efforts on my part) are of course beautifully offset by a queer, chaotic and RP-heavy group that never fail to throw my ideas off the edge of the proverbial and sometimes literal cliff. I view DMing as a part of the collaborative storytelling of the group as a whole. My biggest flaw as a DM is that I am unable to learn how DnD jump mechanics work (if you wanna jump I'll just trust you on whatever you say). My biggest strength is that I care as much about my player's characters as you do. We're a group of (currently) 4 players and myself. We're beginner friendly, roleplay-heavy and character-driven. Please note that this is an established campaign so you would have to feel comfortable jumping into the middle of a story. We play DnD 5E but I am open to homebrew classes and have a lot of leeway for cool ideas. Working with my players on their character story is one of the parts I find the most fun as a DM. If you are in it for the min/max fight optimization, I'm not the DM for you. Our group plays over roll20+discord every tuesday, 8PM central European time. The game runs for approx 2 hours. If you read this through and think we might be the right folx for you, leave me a reply or message to let me know!
