Invisible Tokens with the New Update

Hi, all, I've been making invisible tokens for a long time via the following method: - Create a token with a transparent/nonexistent image - Assign edit status to that token only to players that can see it - Give it a colored aura with a radius of 0 feet. This has allowed players that can see invisible creatures to see such creatures while those that cannot are unable to do so, and allows invisible players to see themselves while the rest of the party cannot. This was a highly liked "feature" (workaround maybe), as players liked the realism from it.  However I've just updated my campaign to the new VTT and this seems to no longer work. Players without edit access can still see some combination of the token, the token's nameplate, or the aura, depending on how the token is setup, so I am no longer able to create invisible tokens. I'm aware that the invisible tokens wasn't *truly* a feature, but rather more of a user-determined workaround for doing that, but,  Real question starts here: Does anyone know how to create invisible tokens with selective player permissions (some players can see, some can't) with the new update? Thanks for your time!

Hi Bret! It’s possible that the campaign defaults for new tokens are different in your new game. It might be worth reviewing the campaign settings page for nameplate defaults, for example.bi haven’t noticed any visibility problems lately.

If checking what keithcurtis said doesn't fix it, I would ask for more specifics on this part: Players without edit access can still see some combination of the token, the token's nameplate, or the aura, depending on how the token is setup, If it's the Name or the Aura ---uncheck the "See" permission under the triple-dots. It is intended and a feature in Roll20 that you (the GM) can choose to allow Name and Aura to be seen by players who do not have Edit permissions, if they only have See permissions.  If the token is in-fact a transparent image, how could they see The Token?
OK, I didn't manage to find the issue but I did find a workaround. This works as long as the tokens are NOT attached to a character in the journal. Free tokens unattached still allow this functionality.  Invisible character tokens I had set up in the journal section would not work with any combination of features I used (see/edit Aura checked on/off; see/edit nameplates checked on/off; baseline journal edit permission on/off). Even with the exact settings copied from a functioning invisible token onto a token that is attached to a character sheet, the latter allows players that do not have edit permission on the character to view that token's aura.  > If the token is in-fact a transparent image, how could they see The Token?  They cannot; they can only see the aura. Looks like this:  That's for anyone that can see invisible Anyone that cannot will only see their own token, like this To clarify, I consider this resolved by just not attaching tokens to a character (sadly); the above is just explanation for the asked questions.  Thank you all for your help.
