I like to make my games as immersive and enjoyable as possible for my players, and I put 10–20 hours a week into prep. I prefer using maps, tokens, and handouts instead of relying on theater of the mind (for the most part). Balance is the key, and that comes to roleplaying vs combat as well. Sometimes there might be a game where no combat happens, and sometimes there might be a game where its a bunch of dungeon crawling and combat, but no matter what roleplaying takes priority. I also think the tone of each game needs a good healthy balance of dark/serious and light-hearted. Moments of levity and humor can make the moments of horror that much more impactful. Starting Level: Level 1! I expect this game to go until around Level 11 or 12 Ability Scores: You will be rolling for them! Homebrew Rules: I have a small list of house rules that you'll see in my discord, nothing too crazy, they're commonly used house rules Why am I charging 20$ a game? - I can provide a professional-level game for everyone as well as curate a fun, friendly, and immersive experience. - My sessions are 4 hours minimum, 5 hours maximum. - I give every NPC their own voice (yes I do voices) and personality. I treat them like they are real people with real lives, feelings, and backstories of their own. - I use high resolution maps, art, and handouts. I also play music and ambience. All assets I use are properly credited with links in my Discord Server. I also drew some of my own art assets. None of the assets I use are created by AI - I own quite a lot of the source material on Roll20 and all of it will be compendium compatible to make it easier on all of you. - I am a Plus Member so I provide dynamic lighting on every map I use. Eventually I would like to upgrade to a higher tier to improve my games even further. - I have a Consent Checklist that I'll have each of you fill out and give to me privately so that I know what everyone is and isn't comfortable with. Fair warning though, this campaign will have Mature themes and be for Adults, but I will also make sure to respect any boundaries anyone has when it comes to explicit subjects - New to D&D? No problem, I love helping people learn how to play. - New to Roll20? I will teach you everything you need to know. - If someone calls out, we'll still play as long as there's five players. Any less than that and we'll postpone. In the rare case that you've already paid before the game is postponed, it will count toward the next week's session. - Unless there's an emergency, I very rarely cancel a game, but if I do I give plenty of notice ahead of time.
