Error copying Demiplane character user not found

Hi all, just created a sandpit as an empty game my players can log into at any time to create new characters (compendium sharing).  We have two new games coming up and so several of them have logged in and made characters. I have set up the new games and have tried to transmogrify the new characters in and I get a really ugly warning related to Demiplane.  I want nothing to do with Demiplane and have been at my PC making beautiful things all day, I don't need this when I am tired and very grumpy.  Have I clicked something inadvertently?  Why is this happening?  I can transmog from any other game, just not the new characters in this new Sandpit.  I can transmog old characters into it and transmog those characters as always, it is just this latest batch of characters that seem to be a problem.  Spoken to my players and they all looked absolutely befuddled by the mention of Demiplane. I also created a new character in Sandpit and can do everything I want with that one, so it is just this batch.  I can add them to characters and then add to game, but that doesn't tell me what's afoot

Can the players export their Characters and them import them into the new game?…

Hi RPGeezer and genuine thanks for the reply,  I can workaround that way and will do if need be, my question is really about what is going on; why after all this time and creating Heaven only knows how many characters in various games, both JGate and non-JG, why am I suddenly getting this?

I am getting the same error. trying to copy from a legacy game into a new game. Looks like Character Vault is working to move them. Still I would like to use transmogrify 

I got a reply from R20 to say duplicate the character and this will break the link, you can then use as normal. Does not work, I still get Demiplane box. I have created characters from scratch, manually copying those I wanted and all is OK, but it doesn't answer why this Demiplane stuff cropped up in the first place. I replied to R20 asking for clarification some days ago, awaiting response

Hi Simon! Weekends can be slow for the response team. If you don't hear anything by late Monday, post here and I'll see if I can't shine a spotlight on this.

Thanks Keith.  Weekends are holy ground, Highlander. I expect zero response if all is as it should be : )     I submitted the reply a few days back but also understand the world doesn't really revolve around my gaming needs, more than happy to tick over, thanks for the eyes on though - appreciated as always

Sorry for the length of response, but another thread (that you responded on) prompted me to make an official inquiry. To my knowledge, a Demiplane character cannot be transmogrified.

Addendum: Without looking at the actual game, I am at a loss to explain the demiplane reference.

I have asked a player to log into the game where we first encountered this snag, create a character without me doing anything to start that process and then I have successfully transmogrified it to another game.  Looks good. Thank you!!
