[LFG] [Free] Playtesting a Super Hero Game that features Classless Play, Vehicles, Headquarters, Sidekicks, Patrol Mechanics and more!

So, as a long time gamer and a huge fan of comic books like Darkhawk, Swamp Thing, Batman, the Green Lantern Corp, Invincible and a lot more. A few years ago, I wrote an independent TTRPG to facilitate the sorts of stories that I wanted to see. It went on to be a Silver Bestseller on DTRPG. Now, it is back... The Aethyrblood Chronicles 2nd Edition will be told in three distinct arcs, but at its core it can be used as a generic supers system that can do all the things that some games leave out. With actual Patrol Mechanics, players can find clues for various plotlines and follow them as they see fit. Recruit sidekicks or form super teams, create super vehicles and headquarters, spend your Downtime to maintain all your relationships with friends, family, work and anything else your character interacts with. All with the same rules systems... not a bunch of unattached subsystems that make learning the game more frenetic. Aethyrblood uses the DPS System, a Dice Pool Scaled system that allows for three tiers of play: human, supernatural, and god-like. You can have a group with Batman and Superman where one does not outshine the other. Designed your own Power Armour like Tony Stark or gain a symbiotic alien suit like X O Manowar. Create Spider-Man, or even Venom and other symbiote characters easily. Play a master of magic like Stephen Strange or Zatara, or someone bestowed magical gear like Dr. Fate. Create the likes of Omni-Man or Supreme and take on cosmic threats. The list goes on - anything is possible! I am looking for a few different VTT tables to playtest the game and see if this new presentation is worth pursuing. The DPS System allows one roll of a Dice Pool to determine absolute success v. failure, degrees of success v. failure and how much narrative control the players have over the results of their rolls. Fail spectacularly? The GM can then take narrative control of the results. Don't like narrative gaming? Disregard it then! But the game also features The Geste Engine, which can be used to procedurally create game content for a four hour session with just rolling three dice no more than three times. This is a very ambitious TTRPG, and I need you help to kick the virtual tires. I already have one player, possibly two. We will work out schedules per player; as I said I want to have a few tables for the game's testing. Any interest? Feel free to ask questions before committing your time and energy. I look forward to hearing from you!
I'm down to clown.
I might be interested.
If you would be so kind as to send me a PM with your Discord info, I will reach out tomorrow and we can see what days/times work best for everyone.
Apologies, but I have been sick these past few days. Give me another day or tow please, so expect to hear from me no later than Thursday. Thanks much!
Well, it looks like fun and I'd definitely be interested. Unfortunately, right now roll 20 is being a pain in the **** and not letting me some private messages. If you could send one to me, I'd definitely be interested.
Hey, everyone! I woke up feeling pretty good so I am at the computer now and have sent out the PMs with the Discord friend invites. When you are able, please tell me when you have some time to chat about the game, expectations, and character concepts. You do not need to do anything at this time, however be thinking of the following points, as I will be asking them during the interview process: 1)    How much experience do you have with tabletop role-playing games? 2)   Have you ever been a part of an official playtest? If so, for what games? 3)   What are three of your favourite TTRPGs, and what do you enjoy most about them? 4)   What is your favourite super hero TTRPG, and why? 5)   Please rate the following parts of the TTRPG experience base upon your enjoyment (lowest rating is a d3, d6-d8 is average and d12 is the highest): exploration, character development (story), combat, setting lore, colourful NPC interactions, teamwork, character progression (levelling up), downtimes, gear & loot, stimulating challenges, puzzles, looking at NPC stat blocks and reading adventures. 6)   How do you enjoy digesting the following methods of RPG play (using the same d3 to d12 rating system as above) : Solo, Traditional (face to face), Diceless, GM-less/Guided, VTT (online play) and LARP. 7)   Who are some of your favourite comic book (not manga) characters and why? 8)   Please name three of your favourite story arcs from comic books (again, not including manga); examples are The Heart of the Hawk, Wolverine: Origins, Watchmen, The Death of Superman, Marvel's Civil War, et al. Thank you very much for your patience, and I look forward to hearing from you soon!
