Hello my dear rolling 20s! For those of you who love DnD and Pathfinder, or maybe once loved them but grew weary, and are looking for a game, I have a little proposition. I am looking for players to join me in a game using a New Systems for Fantasy Worlds . You can join an existing game (though we don't have a lot of players) or we can start a new one, depending on day of availability. The world we're using is a bit of a testing sandbox (with plot, because chaos always gives rise to plot, or it ain't chaos). The rulebook is evolving and has no pictures as of the moment, but you can have a read of it at : https://aleshaleksey.github.io/fansys23/ (there's also PDF's available, but they're out of date the moment they're compiled, since it's still in development) [My ]Availability: Sunday-Friday, 1800-2300 GMT. On Mondays and Thursday I am constrained to 1945-2300 GMT. Language: English. Although I would love to start a game in Russian, so if any of you are looking to play in a game in Russian.... Age brackets: Sufficient emotional maturity to handle defeat, difficult and adult subjects should they arise (it might happen) and other people (because other people will definitely happen). A little bit about my DM/GMing style: - I am a fairly experienced DM, but by no means a DMing lich. - I have terrible timing/pacing. - I like combat and RP equally, especially when one leads to another. Or as some like to say "the porn must have plot". - I believe in "earn your happy ending" - the default outcome is seldom a nice one. Else what is the point in player characters being there? - I am a lazy DM. I like it when player characters to have some motivation of their own and try to move towards their goals. I like it even more when players contribute to the world they're playing in (because too many cooks spoil a broth, but too many gods make a vibrant world, full of conflict and pain). - Most of the game is PG13, but I refuse to ignore the brutal reality of fantasy worlds where monsters dwell and where the rule of law is subordinate to the rule of the strong, so some story arcs are darker and edgier and I would prefer it if players were mature enough to deal with it if it comes up. Platform Roll20 + Discord (I am looking to get off discord since there are certain access problems where I am, but it's not going to happen in the next few months) About the system I wanted to play a game where the character creation is as complex as Pathfinder I, but the mechanics a little lot less unbalanced... - Conception: 2023 - 2d12 core roll - Levels: Yes - Classes: No - Magic: Yes - Races other than human: Yes - More in depth martial system than DnD - Distinction between real (HP) injury and soft (stamina/mana) damage.
