Name: Flamer CLASS RANGE ROF DAM PEN CLIP RLD SPECIAL WT Basic 20m S/–/– 1d10+4 E 2 30 2 Full Flame, Spray 21kg Backpack Ammo Supply : The weapon is fed from a backpack supply, which flows ammunition along fuel lines, power cables, or linked shells to the weapon. Though the user can now fire much longer, its more cumbersome form means reloading must wait until the combat is concluded. This increases the clip size of the weapon to five times its current clip size, but it cannot be reloaded in combat. To reload the weapon, the character must have the necessary amount of ammunition and spend five minutes reloading the backpack. If the weapon jams, it only loses one clip’s worth of ammunition and does not need to be reloaded. 2 Flamer fuel tank, 2,1kg Name: Laspistol CLASS RANGE ROF DAM PEN CLIP RLD SPECIAL WT Pistol 30m S/2/– 1d10+2 E 0 30 Half Reliable 1.5kg Las Weapon Variable Setting: The standard las weapon has a variable setting option, allowing it to fire higher-powered bursts. It may be set to overcharge mode, dealing +1 damage, but using two shots worth of ammunition per shot fired. Further, the weapon may be set to overload mode, dealing +2 damage and gaining +2 penetration. In this case, it uses four shots of ammunition per shot fired, loses Reliable, and gains Unreliable. 2 Laspistol charge packs, 0,3kg Name: Chainsword CLASS RANGE DAM PEN SPECIAL WT Melee β€” 1d10+2 R 2 Balanced, Tearing 6kg Name: Sword CLASS RANGE DAM PEN SPECIAL WT Melee β€” 1d10 R 0 Balanced 3kg Name: Imperial Guard Flak Armour LOCATIONS COVERED AP MAX AG WEIGHT All 4 50 11kg Flak Armour: Just as the lasgun is the most common type of weapon in the galaxy, so too is flak the most common type of armour, both due to their standard usage in the Imperial Guard. Flak armour is made from multiple layers of ablative and impact–absorbent materials, designed to deal with light weapon attacks and proximity blasts. While not prepared to stop heavy weapons fire, it is relatively lightweight, simple and inexpensive to manufacture, and dependable in combat. As long as the wearer is not on the target spot of the blast, flak armour counts as 1 AP higher against damage from weapons with the Blast quality. Name: Combat Vest Weight: 2kg While this outerwear vest offers no additional protection, it does include numerous pouches and straps to keep extra weapon clips, sidearms, and grenades within easy reach. Common styles include hip packs, holsters, bandoliers, and vests and can hold 15 kg comfortably. Items held in the combat vest can be drawn as a Free Action during the character’s turn. Only one backpack or combat vest can be worn at a time. Name: lho-sticks A mild narcotic, each stick contains dried and cured plant leaves that release a scented, stimulating smoke when ignited and inhaled through a cheap tube that burns away with the drug. As the leaves vary with the planet, lho-sticks can vary from world to world as well, often making them useful trade items. Name: Grapnel & Line Weight: 2kg A combination of clip-harness and gas-powered pistol, this can fire a hook or magnetic clasp attached to a thin, strong wire at an overhead target up to 100m away. Once the grapnel attaches to the desired spot such as a rooftop, a user can manually climb the line or activate a powered winch that can lift the user roughly 5m per round. Common sets can hold 150kg, while Good or Best can support 200 kg. Name: Magnoculars Weight: 0.5kg These powerful vision aids can magnify distant items into clear focus, helping ensure no heresy goes unspotted. More advanced, high-quality magnoculars can also do such things as give range read-outs, detect heat sources, calculate target location positioning, and take pict-captures of a view for later analysis. He is of a heavier than average build, a trait not too surprising given his background in the imperial guard. His skin is pale, rough and is showing light signs of aging. His brown hair is well kept, short and oiled back but is starting to just like his skin show signs of age and loss of colour. His face is kept clean and well shaved and within slightly sunken eye sockets rests two light blue eyes. After the events during the Culling of Atterax just below his neck and throat most of Octavius left side of his body is covered in shrapnel scars and burns from the frag missile that nearly killed him. As it's a constant reminder of his shame and failure, Octavius will almost go to absurd lengths in keeping them covered or hidden. What does the Character desire? Octavius was born a Highborn but much to his parents distain he never liked the higher life, nor the luxuries that came with it. When he was but a child he would always listen to the stories his families head of security, the stories of her life in the imperial guard, of duty and glory. His parents not liking how much time young Octavius was spending with this old war dog decided that maybe if they gave him a taste of what a military life was really like. Then he would give up on it and become a "proper child of the Panzar family", sadly for them this only strengthened Octavius desire and he never left the guard as they had hoped. So now he strives to and desires to be a leader of men, a shining beacon of command that will hold the line against all who would threaten the Imperial worlds. What does the Character hate? Octavius is man that is hard to anger and he prides himself on his ability to keep a cool head in the most heated situations. However, being a man with a strong sense of duty that borderline on fanaticism it comes to no surprise that Octavius feel disgust and a deep hatred of those who would turn their backs to their duty, the Imperium and the God-Emperor of mankind. His time with the Inquisitor has done nothing but further fuel this hatred. What is the Character Willing to sacrifice? Octavius life in the 48th Kardian Shock Troopers thought him quite well the value of human life and that no life which is given in the service of the God-Emperor is ever given in vain. With this in mind he knows quite well that if his duty would call for it, then he too will give his life without question nor remorse. How did the Character meet his inquisitor? Octavius met the inquisitor in the aftermath of a failed charge of against the trench lines of the archenemy during the Culling of Atterax. The ground command had vastly underestimated the power of the enemy guns and had paid a heavy price for it, the charge was a complete and utter failure. All of Octavius men had perished in the failed charge and he himself came the closest to death he has ever been. As Octavius and his men ran through no-man's land between the trench lines with the rest of the charge the cry's of war and glory turned in to those of horror and defeat. The archenemy had been hiding a reserve force of Angles of death, all clad in black and gold armour the demigods of war unleashed such vast and precise firepower. The whole charge was looked like just waves breaking apart on a unyielding mountain. It was a slaughter that Octavius had never seen the likes of before. Calls for support on the vox was only met with static and as no contact could be made with ground command the charge had to go on. Feeling his death and that of his soldiers was near Octavius steeled his heart and lead his men further in the jaws of hell, knowing that at least they all would die together. Hoping that there suicidal charge would cause some form of crack or at least some damage to the enemy trench line. To Octavius shame his hopes of glorious death by the side of his men did not come. His vox operator who was charging next to him was torn apart by a direct hit of a frag missile, Octavius was showered in visceral and shrapnel. Knocked out cold and barely breathing by the explosion his men presumed he too had died and charged onwards. What happened to his men Octavius never found out but from how everyone was slaughtered during the charge he can make a sombre guess. Octavius will never let himself forget the shame of not being there to lead them in their final moments as the jaws of hell consumed them. He was found in the no-man's land a day later as the imperial line sent out scouts in to it to look for answers and find out what had happened to the charge. It was while being treated for his wounds and questioned about the failed charge that he met the inquisitor and learned that his company was no more. What does the inquisitor mean to the Character? To Octavius the inquisitor is a opportunity to lead others again in to the fires of war in service of the Emperor and find redemption in his failure. To be able to meet his men and the rest of the now dead 146th Kardian Shock Troopers at the God-Emperors side and feel no shame as he show that he too died doing his duty.
