[Online][5e 2014][GM Wanted][Flexible US Evenings] Shadowfell / Material Plane Campaign — Level 1 Start, Long-Term - willing to pay for all needed on roll20

Hello, I am willing to pay for all things needed to make this a top roll20 or VTT experience as well as DM time for the right DM.  Other players can play for free or paid to play but I want the campaign to be designed for long term and to take the character through mythic stage.  I will pay for the right DM and we need to find the group together.   I’m a returning D&D player looking for a Dungeon Master interested in running a long-term D&D 5e campaign with a strong Material Plane / Shadowfell presence , starting at Level 1 . This is not a request for a campaign centered on my character—but for a DM who enjoys using character history, artifacts, and consequences as tools to shape a living world. Campaign Concept (High-Level) I’m looking for a DM who enjoys: Dark fantasy themes (not grimdark for its own sake) Planar influence and long-term consequences The Shadowfell as an active force, not just a backdrop Stories where death, balance, and unresolved systems matter The campaign does not need to revolve around the Shadowfell at the start. I’m happy for it to emerge naturally over time. About My Character (DM-Facing Summary) The character I’d like to play is Varrek Nox , a contract operative whose life has intersected with planar mechanics of death and finality. Key points for the DM: He is not a chosen one, hero, or villain He does not drive the plot unless the DM chooses to engage him His history and signature weapon create natural hooks for: Shadowfell incursions Planar imbalance Death that doesn’t reset cleanly His artifact enforces permanent consequences (resurrection denial except by wish ) If ignored, he plays like a normal party member. If engaged, he gives the DM justification for heavier planar arcs. I am not asking for special treatment , narrative immunity, or spotlight focus. System & Play Details System: D&D 5e Start Level: 1 (required) Platform: Online (Roll20, Foundry, Fantasy Grounds, etc. — flexible) Schedule: Flexible evenings (US time zones preferred) Party: Open to new players Content: Mature themes welcome; no requirement for NSFW About Me as a Player Former 3.5e player , returning after a long break Comfortable with tactics, roleplay, and long-term planning New to modern 5e and explicitly looking for a DM comfortable guiding me through updated rules Respectful of DM authority and table time Looking for a stable, long-term group Important context: This character was created years ago with my previous DM. We were in the early stages of building a campaign when he passed away. I’m not trying to recreate that game—but I do want the chance to finally play the character we never got to explore. What I’m Hoping For in a DM Comfortable running 5e for mixed-experience players Interested in worldbuilding and long arcs Willing to say “no” when appropriate Enjoys letting consequences matter If this sounds like a campaign you’d enjoy running, I’d love to talk further and share the full character and artifact write-up for review. Thanks for reading.
