I'm Rex, and She's Ethos, and together we'd like to say: WELCOME TO THE ARENA Blood Sport was created out of a desire to run a game for those looking to explore Gestalt Character options in the 5e Rule-set. Play as any 2 classes at the same time. Fighter/Wizard. Bard/Barbarian. Whatever you can imagine. Option to play as a (sentient/sapient) monster available. Minotaurs. Centaurs. Dragons. - Adjusted for party level. Earn the adulation of the crowds, more gold than your characters have ever seen in their lives, and the ire of the upper class. Weather you are a free born man looking to climb out of life in the slums, or a slave forced to fight for your life, you have found yourself standing on blood stained sands beside 4-6 fellow gladiators. The roar of the crowd is as deafening as the sun is hot. Before your arrival, the cheers of the audience and the screams of the victims were soul-eroding. But here and now, once you have actually stepped out onto the field.. All you can feel is Alive . Features you can expect: 1. Obviously the Gestalt & Monster play feature 2. Catered music 3. Animated maps & major opponents 4. Puzzle & Social play outside of the arena. Grueling & Brutal combat fitting for gestalts in the arena 5. Dual DM's means a dynamic range of personalities to interact with in world. A few things to know: You will begin at level 1, and you should expect early levels to pass quickly and later levels to slow down. As this is a gestalt game, you select 2 classes. Gain and gain all of their class abilities. Nothing stacks, so overlapping does nothing for you (you can't get advantage on something twice, for instance). But you will have the full arsenal of your two classes available to you. This is what makes you and your fellow gladiators unique. Your myriad of abilities has the potential to turn you into a rock star of the arena. Eventually, you are expected to reach level 20. This game will have 4-6 players, and be expected to run for 3ish hours, sometimes 4. This game has 2 DM's. Rex, who will voice all male characters, and Ethos, who voices the female characters. She and I will run the game jointly, but both are considered equals and both should be given an equal level of respect as your DM's. There will be no level of tolerance for unprofessional behavior from our players either towards us or each other. If you make the other players uncomfortable, then you will be asked to leave. Our tables are also open to all people of all stripes. That means it's not going to tolerate hateful or bigoted language, for the record. So don't do it. We're not here to talk politics, religion, race, or whatever you think other people should be doing in their own bedrooms. Keep your trap shut on that stuff and you'll be fine. This is a very adult themed game and should be considered to be explicitly 18+ in its nature. Expect the kinds of material you are used to seeing with gladiatorial focused media or other dark, fantasy themed settings. People are paying to watch you kill or be killed, after all. It is dark. It can be as depressing as it can be thrilling. That having been said, the game is catered to the players. We expect that you will present us (in private usually) with your black list of subject material so that we may censor out any themes or subjects that worsens the player experience for you, the paying customer. Despite this being about gladiators. Please don't just make a murder hobo . I'm begging you. We'll run it and heck it even makes our job easier, but as DM's our personal request is for a bit of dynamic personal interaction with complex characters. Payment works as so: Your first session, you may elect not to pay until after the session is complete. If you decide the game isn't for you, the fee is waived and we part ways. But you may not rejoin the game at a later point. Following your first session, payment is expected before any session you join. Each session is currently $15 dollars per seat. Missed Sessions Policy: We allow a limited number of missed sessions, but that's money out of our pocket every time you take up a seat and don't show up. So, following 3 missed sessions within a span of a month, you will be expected to give up your seat or pay for it regardless of whether you show up or not. But we can't just leave seats both occupied and unpaid for. I am sorry. 30 days after any given missed session, it no longer is added to your count. We currently have a paypal set up for payments. However, if you prefer another method we are open to whatever works for you. Roll20 is not responsible for any payment transactions and cannot enforce any private arrangements. Still interested?
