new to D&D 4.0

Hi there i been wanting to get into D&D for awhile and i really dont know much about it. i bought the players handbook for 4.0 edition and would love to learn and play. If there is anyone with spare time to teach me the basic of the game and help me make a character i would really appreciate it a lot. 

Dustin, I run a campaign specifically designed for new players to D&amp;D 4th. Right now I am running two tables, one on Tuesday night and one on Saturdays which are both filled.
