I currently run an ongoing, homebrew Call of Cthulhu game various Tuesdays. I have a planned hiatus up sometime in March, and I would like to try a small experiment with my game with things running in the background before this time hits. More or less, there's been a small group of NPCs and past player characters that've been left behind by the main group, either from IRL players leaving or not wanting to bring them into combat, etc. I'd love for a few people to run with some of them, and go on their own mini-adventure in parallel.  Whatever this party does on their adventure, has some effect to the other game and the main player group. Accidentally aggro'd enemies, failed puzzles and wrecked environments could be encountered by the main party. Or the flipside are clear mini-dungeons, half-solved puzzles and clues of which direction to go. - If you'd like a chance to dip your toes into a game without a long-term commitment, this is your chance! Newbies and more roleplay-focused players are encouraged to apply. The Important Things: Game rules are Chaosium's Call of Cthulhu 7th Edition , with some talent perks from Pulp Cthulhu . There is light homebrew in terms of items and house rules, and the world lore is completely homebrew based on one of my original settings. Please review the Game Lore and Info.  It has almost all the information for the game in general. This splinter group is the same campaign, just that the group of characters are in a different location on the map. Time is yet to be determined. It'll be a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday from 8-10PM EST. I'll choose a time once I have a group of players. No pressure on a start date, but I would like to get it started considering I only have a month left till the hiatus. This is a recorded game to be developed into a podcast down the line. Except for a good mic, nothing special needed. Just be aware. We're here to have fun, and focus more on RP than min-max grinds. Show up and be friendly, and you'll be fine. We're pretty easygoing! Combat is occasional, sometimes required but not always. Think of games as a 90's point and click adventure game. Death is a low risk, and really only a possibility if you repeatedly roll bad or intentionally going into harm's way. That should cover the important details! - The Secondary Characters Here's your cast! They essentially can be summed up as a handy carpenter, isekai'd goth girl, runaway orphan and displaced giantess from the Dreamlands. More information available on request.
