I am having an issue with uploading GIFs into Roll20 for some time now. When a GIF is uploaded into Roll20, the image shows up with a broken image icon in my library. However the image is still there, for example if I dragged it into the journal, the journal portrait remains there and if I drag the journal into the play area a token is produced, everyone can see these images not just me. I did some testing and this seems to affects GIFs only, jpegs and PNGs are unaffected. I have tried GIFs with and without transparency as well as of varying sizes, it seems to affect all GIFs. I believe it has something to do with the URLs of the images. When I upload the GIFs, the URL in the library will read gif but when taking the URL of the actual image (in the journal for example), the url reads jpg example library thumb nail https://s3.amazonaws.com/files.d20.io/images/58345... working image https://s3.amazonaws.com/files.d20.io/images/58345... However, the working image is still a gif and if I down load it it remains a gif and includes transparency. There is a work around by using the upload tab in the library, but I cannot drag from the library to the journal avatar.
