Looking for ST and players for a lighthearted(?) take on VTM, day and time flexible

Hello forum goers, nice to see you've clicked my topic. Shows interest, that's good. Anyways, This might not work out,as it is a bit different topic than what vtm was "meant to be used for" but a friend of mine had a brilliant idea the other day, and I think it'd be fun to get a group together for a few sessions and see if it'll work out. What's that idea, I hear you ask? Well, little Timmy, its a brilliant idea, one that will put a new spin on an old classic. An entire VTM party of 'child' vampires. (and the poor bastard who's fucked something up, and now has to 'babysit' them) While we were thinking 'let the poor bastard be an npc', if anyone has a sudden longing to be harassed by sadistic monster children, feel free to step up and claim your title of 'sucker'. As usual, we're playing camarilla, and the only real requirement is your character is now a physically child, whether they act like one or not. As to out of game business, Days and times are mostly flexible. While we'd prefer Fridays, and are shooting for it to end at about 6pm central time (friend's got business then) Actual days and times can be discussed in the thread. We're just a bit new to the tabletop scene, and haven't actually played vtm before, while we've certainly read up on it, we've little field experience. Mostly we're just looking for a fun time here, and if things get serious later, i'm sure we'll adapt. We're looking for a handful of players, no more than six, and a good mix of characters. We're also looking for an ST, if they'd be up to managing such a silly game. Not really much management involved I guess, might give you a break from the complicated stuff if you're experienced, or if you're new to the scene, might be a bit easier than managing aforementioned complicated campaigns. If anyone's going to play fishmalk, then don't. Fun stuff's fine, but mental illness isn't a joke. Not trying to be an ass, just asking you to avoid the same.
I haven't played the tabletop part of VTM. I'm only familiar with the larping part. If there is more action than politicking I'd like to join up. :)
Depends on the ST we get, but it's probably going to be more action/goofing off/generally causing problems for the local populace than politics. We really are aiming for a fun bit here and personally, i like the idea of turning this dark, serious, adult's world that's been presented by White Wolf, and subverting it's standards entirely, playing as children, giving no fucks, generally not playing the game as it was supposed to be played, etc. Basically, while i cant speak for the action amount, i can say there will be less politicking than usual. (also im really bad at politics, so for future notice, if there's politics, im likely going to fuck up)
My friend would like to say on the topic of politics: well if there is politics and such it'll probably just be on the sidelines. mostly because I'll most likely be playing a ventrue and politics is sorta their thing at this point. also, they unfortunately do not have an account atm, so i'll be speaking for them, or at least copy/pasting for them. You'll know it's them if it's in italics.
I see. Well I can play a campy kid in a dark world. I've done this kind of thing before. Sounds great! Count me in! How do I go about joining up? I've used roll20 to arrange games with my roommates but I've never joined a session on the forums. Should I join a list? I'm free most days of the week. I work super flexible hours.
Being fully honest, it seems neither of us know exactly how to join from the forums, most of my gaming has been done in person, or over skype... i guess, we get players/st, have st create said campaign and then join it? Of course after everything is worked out in the forum i guess? Hmm.. sorry to be not much help, but as for now, we'll add you to a list. For reference to future players/potentials, seeing as we have six player spots, there are now three spots left. Those playing are of course, me, Matt, and Joshua.

Aright update on the player list, We have five player spots filled, and several potentials. If they have not decided by the end of the week, then we might need players. We also still need an ST. After getting a few replies on tumblr and skype, we have updated the player list Me: playing Toreador Matt: playing Ventrue Dakota: playing Malkavian Brittany: playing Brujah Open spot Open spot I'm currently asking all of these people to make roll20 accounts if they don't have them,as the game will most likely be hosted/operated here. They've also been linked to this thread to discuss anything necessary, and am asking players to know if they're definitely playing and what clan they're playing by the end of the week. that's two days to figure out the bare minimum. This board will be updated with information as needed.
id love to join in actually, huge vtm fan!!!
i play a malkavian who was turned as a child but is pretty old, his biggest derangment is that he regresses. so in a situation where he is put under stress or anything like that, he actually takes on the mind of a 10 year old child. my current gm doesnt like child vamps so i need somewhere to take this idea.
Well friend, you've got the perfect place! After a (very) short discussion, Matt and I have added you in. Certainly helps that Matt and I have soft spots for well played Malks, and since your character's derangement (and you yourself) seem perfectly reasonable, It's short work of updating the list, and you're part of the group! notes: Updated the list. Jake's out, Dakota's in, still need clans for two, conformation for two, and of course an ST.
I'm down. I've been busy today but I'll get in touch with you tomorrow about pitching a character idea. Skype a fine way?
woot woot
List has been updated, players have until midnight on friday(saturday?) western time to get their clans to me.
While this may depend on the ST, Matt and i would like to inform those that haven't decided on clans yet that gangrel is a valid option, as we will likely be playing before they became independent. Even if we aren't then we would like to remind you that the separation would be recent, and many would still hold ties to the camarilla. Tl;Dr, Probably playing early nineties, even if later, gangrel is an option.
Okay just wanted to confirm that player spots are taken unless someone drops. We're mainly looking for an ST at the moment. (and if anyone knows how to change post titles that would be great. thanks in advance)
Joshua, if you don't get your clan to me within two hours, you will be considered unresponsive and will be dropped. This goes for Maddie as well.
list has been updated, two spots open, four clans confirmed And can we please get an ST on this? I may be acting as a sort of manager at the moment, but contrary to popular belief i have no idea how to run a game, nor do i have any desire to do such. Since Roll20 doesnt seem to be working to find one, anyone know of any other sites i could use?
so update?
so I stumbled across this while I was looking for a game to join as have not played in a while and seems fairly interesting idea. What I would say though is it seems like your trying to arrange too much without having a ST in place and it's probably limiting interest, especially since your original group was full of neonates to the VTM setting. My main suggestion to you would be it might be better to play a sabbat campaign as they are typically more flexible with the rules and political side. That said I might be interested in running one of these games as an improv one shot but setting up even a silly campaign for VTM can take weeks if not months
As I'm not sure when Brooke will see this, I have decided to go ahead and address this. I'm the one who she referred to as 'Matt' earlier. When I get in touch with her I'll bring your concerns up and discuss them with her, if she hasn't already addressed them herself by then. Until then, I would like to thank you for both your interest and advice.
id like to get this going at some point lol
