The campaign setting is my own homebrewed world that is full of detail and life. Noble House Evercrest is turmoil after an unexpected death. Inheritance has been divided out, and now one of the Sons is pulling on all of his connections to assemble a group of adventurers to help sort his problems. Other houses seek to take advantage of the weakened house, with schemes afoot, each seeking to achieve their own goals; the storm is sitting on the horizon, ready to roll in. This will not be a heroic epic campaign; the players are not out to 'save the world'. There will be a central 'base of operations' in a city with NPCs the players will get to know and love (or hate?), and will have plenty of downtime between missions to pursue non-combat related affairs.
