This is a bizarre game that I've been planning for a while now.  Our group intends to officially start either April 10th or 17th.  We will be running the game from 7 PM US Central Time to around 11 PM-Midnight every Friday.  We are a group of friendly, respectful, nerdy, and invested people, hopefully just like youself. This is NOT going to be an ERPG (erotic roleplay game) , just to make that crystal clear from the start.  Everything going too far is a "fade to black" moment.  Background romance is acceptable, such as NPC involvement, but I will not be going far into the details.  In short, if it makes me or any of the other players too uncomfortable, it won't be allowed. We're also keeping controversial topics (such as IRL religion and modern politics) out of it as much as possible.  This is not to say we don't respect your actual thoughts and beliefs, but we're avoiding those topics within the game itself for the story's sake.  I always ask that you please respect the other players. The Game's Theme:   The tone of the game is very serious and fairly dark, even though it's a bit "isekai".  You will start with a fictional "real world" person who died in the "real world" and their mind was somehow implanted in the body of a fantasy person in an unfamiliar land where magic and monsters truly exist.  The original person will always be a human, but the new body can be either human, half-elf, half-orc, dwarf, catfolk, or tiefling.  You have control over your "real world" character's backstory and the stats for the new body, but you will start knowing nothing about the new world and your new body. Although technically it's an "isekai" adventure, you didn't arrive here thinking this new world is a video game or TTRPG.  Far frome it, in fact; it feels far too scary and real.  This new world is harsh, with themes of bloody colonial war, slavery, and cruelty.  The lands are savage and untamed.  The colonists are at war with the king's army.  Half-orcs are outcasts, tieflings are slain on sight (non-combatants run from them), half-elves are exploited, dwarves are rare (typically traveling merchants), catfolk (miv or grimalkin) are either tribal or enslaved, and the vast majority of humans are indebted/enslaved to royals and nobles.  Even nobles find it hard to manage at the top, as arranged marriage, abusive parents, and forced responsibilities often take a heavy toll.  Magic is usually forbidden, depending on the society you enter.  Witches and sorcerers are often met with hosility, for example.  Depending on your choices, hidden backstories (for the new body), and situations that you find yourself in, you will either need to hide your face or use it to your advantage. If this game interests you, please send a private message or respond to this post here with the following info: Tell us a little bit about yourself and your playstyle. Please mention your strengths and weaknesses as a player. Tell us about your experience level (newbies are definitely welcome, so you can say you're new to RP and/or Pathfinder 1e... It won't affect your chances). Tell us your RP limits and preferences and if you have any strong phobias or triggers that we need to avoid. Write a short description of the "Real World" Character's backstory, including how the character died. List your prefered Fantasy World Character's race, sex, and character class (or just list whether a spellcaster, fighter-type, etc). Give a brief physical description of the fantasy world character. Select one of the following background NPC classes for your fantasy world character:  Aristocrat, commoner, adept, or warrior. Please do not send any actual character sheets... they will probably be ignored.  I'll contact you after I read your post/message.  It would also be appreciated if you bumped the listing by saying you're interested, even if you prefer sending a private response.  Thanks, and happy gaming!
This sounds like a very interesting concept.  I'll send you a DM.
