Day 1

So ah, yeah, we actually have 6 players so OMG we can start playing and stuff. Ideally when everyone is online but timezones suck. In any case I was going to start people off in Skyreach, the party already gathered, after accepting a request for help just to move things along, spending an hour or whatever gathering the party probably isn't terribly interesting. Still, before we do start, what were people doing before they decided to show up at Skyreach? Was the first thing they did that morning head to their local branch of the guild, see the request, find it interesting, and teleport over, or did they have other things to do first? Do any of you know each other, or at least have meet before, or did you meet up and the Skyreach branch deciding more help generally isn't bad? ...Actually now that I think about generally asking about me about the world might be useful too, I'll see about putting up more notes under that journal tab too.
Cat & My guy are already BFFs. Came to mission because needed money because someone spent it all on food, drink, and inn rooms. The Shardmind has also seen suits of armor before, so he thinks he knows Fumus' cousin or something. The Cat guy is as close to being hikikomori as anyone in an RP universe can possibly be, and has become reclusive to the point where he no longer speaks because he is spoiled by the shardmind's telepathy, so he probably doesn't know anyone else. The request was not found to be interesting, rather, the shardmind picked up the first thing on the table and went "This one."
My guy isn't familiar with any of the others, though being his teammates he obviously feels obligated to protect them. The mission had a decent reward and seemed as if it needed more than one person to complete. As camaraderie is something he actively enjoys, the job seemed perfect. The night before he had slept in the stables, due to the inn being full and his not really caring so long as he could sleep in relative safety. Due to this, he does smell strongly of straw and horses, a scent not too far away from his natural smell. While not repulsive, it's not pleasant. A short meal of bread and meat from the inn in the morning led him to the guild, where he accepted the quest and teleported to Skyreach.

Charr isn't familiar with the others on a personal level but he knows them well enough to know that they're fairly trustworthy. The request gave him a good opportunity to see the world so he took it without much hesitation. Plus, Charr recently burned down a tavern two towns over so he desperately needs the money. It was an accident, I swear. He was lighting his pipe one moment, and then a few moments later the room was on fire. After a daring escape (read: run like hell), he made it back to the Adventurer's Guild just in time to take a job far away to make enough money to settle that debt.
My girl doesn't know the rest of them, but is rather curious about them. They're weird and interesting, in a cute way... in the same way a dog is cute when it barks at its own reflection. This request gave her a good chance to help better the world a bit. She took it as a chance to see what things were laying about in the world as well as an opportunity to marvel at how bizarre the other members of the guild are. It certainly didn't hurt that this happened to come up right after a raid on the local pet supplies store. Not related though, naturally.
Ingot has only been with the Guild for maybe a month. They don't know anyone, but the prospect of working with people is interesting to them. They're eager like a child learning new stuff. They basically are one anyway. Ingot wants to go to Skyreach simply because they've never explored there yet, so taking the request was convenient. It's not like a 3-year-old walking metal clunk of limbs is going to be problematic, right?
