Setting In the land of Creation the Scarlet Empress has been absent from her throne for only a year, yet already war in the threshold is escalating. The Bull of the North starts his campaign just as the players find themselves, once nothing more than travelers, farmers, and blacksmiths, as the mighty Exalted. Now they must find their own path in this increasingly war-like world as the undead and demons begin their march on Creation's borders. The year is RY 764; four years before the normal beginning of Exalted. Game Rules We will be using the Exalted rule-set. There will be several house rules including those which are replacing the Mandate of Heaven (I hate their method of country governing). Other than that there are no changes. Most of the house rules are balance changes and won't be mentioned (because they mostly affect Infernals and Abyssals). The ones that do affect Solars simply make them stronger.** Exalted Types Lunar and Solar ONLY. I want more Solars than Lunars (even if that means that there are no Lunars). New Players The only requirement for new players is that they have access to the Core-Book and read the mechanics beforehand. Knowledge of the lore itself is not required, but knowledge of the rules, charms, and artifacts is. The reason for this is that all players are going to be peasants before they exalt and I'm going to explain what lore you do know about. Essence Level/World Low Essence at the beginning; open world after the first few initial moments. Story villains will be created based solely on player actions towards the beginning. *The party is free to create its own nation, but I don't want the party splitting up over a difference of ideals and forming multiple nations in direct conflict with one another. Nations will NOT go by the Mandate of Heaven rules. Villains Mostly the living. Occasional zombie invasions or demonic scourges might happen; and by might I mean that you can count on it. Requirements I am only willing to host the games on Saturdays and Sundays (between 10 AM to 4 PM Pacific Time). These times are subject to change due to fluctuations in my schedule. You must have access to the Corebook. Characters you create must have their own reasons for staying with the group (reasons is plural). The game itself will be played in Roll20; Skype might be used if Roll20's voice and video service fails us. EDIT: ** I changed it from being No House Rules to House Rules due to concerns about balance.
