[LFP - 2 slots] "The Houston Council" (Vampire:The Requiem in 1931 Houston)

THE HOUSTON COUNCIL "Serving You... Since 1893" Back in the 90's, Everybody on the island knew Galveston was going to be the financial and spiritual heart of southeast Texas. But they're all dead now. They were snuffed out in the 1900 Storm, when the island was violently plunged under a hundred feet of water. Nearly overnight, Galveston went from being a port city with booming industry, tourism and vice, to being - quite literally - an island of floating corpses. Farther inland, the immortal city of Houston was ready to make use of every drop of blood spilled by Galveston. The industrious among us set to widening the wound that would become known as the Houston Ship Channel so that industries could bypass the Damned Island, and the Port of Houston was born. Galveston would one day be rebuilt, but it would never again overtake the patient predator whose shadow now looms ominously over it. Houston is a unique kingdom of the undead. It had been a place of the exiled. A place tucked away for the damned among the damned to go and rot, but the banished creatures that took up residence there decided to make it their own, and they were resourceful. Unlike the ancient elders of elsewhere, the Houstonian vampires had their fingers on the pulse of this new century. They found their way to make use of the strategic positioning of the city in the culture and business of mortals, but also as a sort of crossroads among the dead. In the rare instances that vampires travel to the New World, as the ancient ones still called it, they would do so in shipping containers deep in the bowels of cargo freighters that would now be injected into the US through Houston's veins. So as the 20th century began to globalize communications and travel for mortals, so too did Houston become a gateway of sorts, and an empire of it's own to be reckoned with. The year is now 1931. And as the founders of the Kingdom of Houston had faced exile in the highest and most terrifying courts of other lands, so often too do travelers now find themselves at the mercy of the Houston Council. But as the kingdom of Houston grows, it's becoming more and more evident that there are creatures in the shadows other than us, and they're growing restless. Time permitting I would be interested in learning this system. I have moderate RPG experience as both a player and GM.
like to join but i have to be honest, im also trying to get into this Djinn, the Shackled game (also nWoD), the Mummies Mask (Pathfinder) and im trying to determine which of these games fit best in my timeframe, cuz i only have room for one. i already talked to the gm of the Djinn game - he's a real fun dutchman and if you are even half as cool as him i certainly psyched to join up, so what times do you play?
