This is the place to post your character, any pictures of what your character looks like, any descriptions, backstory, etc. Just beware that character history and background may need to be retconned if it turns out to be in conflict with existing but unexplored portions of the game. If you have any questions about the regions on the world map or cultures, let me know through private message and we'll talk it out. I'm one of those people that thinks characters should be developed as you play the game and interact with the world; they start out as vaguely defined people who for whatever reason have decided to set out to find treasure and adventure rather than lead a routine feudal life. Most adventurers die badly before they get experienced enough to avoid the inherent dangers of the world. Just keep in mind there is a lot of this world you don't know about yet, and so you should probably stick to physical descriptions, interpersonal relationships, and family. Social standing for everyone starts are very low, and no one starts with large sums of money; so try and restrict your backgrounds to those that fit your starting conditions. There is no possibility of a rich aunt, uncle, or forgiving father king taking you back and giving you back those land holdings and vast sums of wealth. Additionally, the non-human races that hang with humans are all the civilized kind that live as humans and have left many if not all non-human traditions and languages behind. Dwarves speak common, and all have nearly lost their ability to see in the dark; they work in all kinds of jobs, but have a good knack for stonework and gem valuation, and are mostly honest folk with no affinity at all for magic, deception, or other thieving skills. Elves possess excellent memory, keener senses of perception, and have lost any other ancestral abilities. Elves work in all kinds of positions in all social stations, but they excel in the use of magic as well as fighting. You do not know why, but common elves do not practice thievery, unlike many of the other elvish tribes and social groups. Halflings are greatly distrusted by humans, and are the least integrated of the non-human races in human society. They can occasionally be found as soldiers, but are often not as effective due to their stature and physique. There are the occasionally halfling merchants, or tradesmen, but many halflings make their living as thieves and beggars, often mistaken as children. There is a good reason that the other races aren't allowed to be clerics. Human gods favor human worship, and so even when a non-human shows their devotion to the gods, they rarely have any of their prayers answered. Ancestral non-humans still worship their old gods, who are considered chaotic by human standards, and so among the traditional people can be found clerics. Civilized non-humans have forgotten their old gods, but even if they decide to worship the old gods, the gods do not forget; none who left tradition will be trusted to carry out the will of their gods.
