Ranger Spell DC is not being calculated properly

My ranger's spell DC should be 16 according to the PHB, using the formula 8 + Proficiency bonus(6) + Wisdom modifier(2). On my character sheet, under the spellbook tab, spell DC is listed as 10.

This sounds like a character sheet bug rather than a Roll20 bug. I am moving this to the character sheet forum. Note: you may want to include which character sheet you are using.

What ruleset are you using? 3.5? Pathfinder? Something else?

Proficiency bonus makes me think it's 5e. That means it's at least a level 17 Ranger, though. Check the Class tab. Do you have 17+ levels of Ranger listed in the Class Levels? Should look something like this: That gives me a spellcasting DC of 16 (with a Wisdom of 14), as intended.
Its the 5e rules, level 20 ranger. Same character sheet as that screenshot. Since the character sheet can't be changed individually, the DM is hesitant to change it for the entire campaign. Everyone else's is being calculated correctly, its just mine that is off.

Kyle, I'm the author of the 5e sheet and I cant replicate the problem you are having. Can you post a screenshot of the sheet thats causing the problems. Specifically i'll need the core stats section, the class section, and the spellbook section. I should be able to see from those screens whether soemthing is configured in the sheet wrongly and get enough to test it myself if. One other point to look out for is if you have previously used another character sheet on this character (including the older playtest "Next" one) or if you have ever entered any attributes manually on the attributes and abilities tab of the journal entry. If so, these older values may be being used in the calculation instead of the ones shown on the sheet (if they have the same name as the fields on the sheet do). An easy way to test this is to have your DM create a fresh new character for you, put in the basic stat and level details, and see whether that works out the correct save DC for your ranger.

The player was on this sheet from the beginning, and has never been on another version. I have avoided the A&A tab specifically because I didn't want to break anything. It's possible that my DM reused an old sheet from a test character or something, but he hasn't mentioned anything like that. This character is actually a copy of a lower level one that we're just kind of messing around with, and it has the same spell DC at levels 3 and 20. Screenshots - <a href="http://imgur.com/a/kYgyk" rel="nofollow">http://imgur.com/a/kYgyk</a> Since you wrote this character sheet, I'm also having another issue. The attack roll for ranged weapons isn't working, although damage is. It used to work, but stopped about a month ago. I've just been rolling manually for the past few weeks. I think it may be time to just open a blank sheet and recreate the character.
While the sheet may look similar you are definitely not running the latest edition of the sheet, likely this is as Actoba suggested still the D&DNext sheet. You can see the differences based on the screenshots above showing the class tab and your class tab. Also the last modified date and wiki links are missing.

Ok so this is easily solved. The sheet you sent screenshots for is the correct sheet (it is the 5e sheet and not the old and out of date playtest "Next" sheet) but it is a much older version o the 5e sheet than what is available on roll20 right now. The only way you could be using this is if the DM of the campaign has chosen the custom character sheet option and cut/pasted the older version in to the campaign for use by everyone. My guess would be that this was done in the early stages of the 5e sheet release when it was not yet available on roll 20 officially but could be added as a custom sheet by mentor level DM's. The problem with that of course is that would require manual updates to the custom added sheet as the sheet version changed...and that doesnt appear to have happened here. So the solution to all of your problems is to ask the DM to go to the campaign settings and change the sheet the campign uses to the much more up to date 5e one, or to update the custom sheet as they did before to a much more up to date version. There should be no issue in transitioning from one version of the sheet to a more up to date version...I've been very careful to make sure nothing would break and/or be lost! You may find you have a few more options though (like an armour table as AC is auto calculated now, etc...) The 2 specific problems you have can be fixed as follows - Ranger DC wrong - this is because the sheet is out of date and was one of the first versions of the 5e sheet before the PHB was officially released. As such some classes are missing and much of the mechanics/calculations still used the playtest ruleset. In that playtest ruleset a ranger did not add their proficiency bonus to their spell save DC.....which is why the sheet you are using doesnt. The ranged attack rolls are broken - This is broken because of the bonus you have added in the active bonuses section. It should be entered as "2" and not "+2". You only need to put the sign in if it's a negative number. This will be the case for the old version of the sheet you are using right now AND the latest one (and all versions in between. Hope this helps!
Awesome, I'll send him a message about it tonight!
