Dynamic lightning dim portion is square not round in Chromium 27 Linux KDE 4.10

I was playing around with dynamic lightning to see how it reacts, and I found that when running the player login in Chrominum 27 under Linux KDE4.10 (opensSUSE 12.3) the dim portion of the lit are is square, not round. My setup is 3m H hexes (euclidian)  with 9m/12m visibility. 100% player opaqueness I tired various types of grid, but that didn't seem to affect the situation. Enclosed is an example situation (no blocking lines in the lit area).
I noticed this too during my last session on the 13th, but I'm running Windows XP and I was using Google Chrome.
Something crazy is going on with Chrome 27. I just upgraded to 27.0.1453.56 on my Mac (the current Beta), and now it doesn't draw the grid lines at all.

Staffan, if you switch your Lighting to 12m/9m that will fix the problem.  The numerator is the total illuminated distance while the denominator is the distance the shadow starts at.  - Gauss
That did work, which means that the text under the boxes (Full Light / Shaded Light) is the wrong way around.

Staffan,  The text under the boxes states: Full Light Radius / (optional) dim light radius. This is intended to mean: 'total (maximum) radius of the light / starting point (minimum) dim light radius'.  However, many people read it to mean: 'maximum radius of normal light / maximum radius of dim light' which will result in the problem you had. Perhaps a change of phrasing is in order and if you want you can make a suggestion via the suggestion forum. I would include the suggested phrasing. :) - Gauss
