Vampires In Stilt Town (Game Plan)

So there are two freaking vampire children in stilt town. Donnie read the Hunter's Wife's mind and found out that the children have been turned into vampires and are now stealthily feasting on people in Stilt Town. I say we go around town, to Grom first to ask if he has any bites or know how to kill a vampire, and let everyone know then go and kill the vampires. What are your guys thoughts on this?

Vesryn's talents are getting pretty awesome. We should definitely proceed with caution. One, we don't want to go brandishing weapons and killing children without the local law knowing about it. Two, this could have some connection to the child slave trade and Nekros.
Child vampires... how devious! Probably should meet with the mayor or the sheriff or whatever raise public awareness of the situation. Ask for information and the like. We have Silver weapons, do we need wood stakes for vampires? But we should not allow this scourge to infect Stilt town much longer. And how appropriate with Halloween coming up. A good ol' fashion vampire hunt. Make sure we have crossbows with silver (wood?) tips as well.
What is the D&D lore for vampires? If we kill the master does it release the minions from the curse or kill them? And everyone should have a holy symbol to stand behind to help ward them off, or at least stall them. Does holy water work on them?

We should consult this Grom and any priests in town.
Sunlight could be a viable option also im assuming. i would want to check first but if its anything like real vampire lore then sunlight im sure will hurt them. maybe if we could plan a raid at like noon one day i could shoot a hole in the roof with magic missle and see what it does to them while everyone raids?
We should consult the priests to see if there is anyway to save a newly turned vampire. These kids were running around in the sunlight when the first adventurers landed in town, so they can't have been turned that long. Did we find out if these were the missing children returned? How many kids did they have? The hunter is now highly suspect as being a minion of the Queen. Thea will also buy up the entire town's stock of garlic and after garlic-ing up the warehouse where they sleep and making herself a garlic necklace, she will make garlic paste bombs (and eat garlic with every meal!).

He said they have been this way for years though. Maybe sunlight isn't as big a deal as we think, maybe they are really powerful and can stand the pain for short periods.
Alright, so first thing I'd like to do is bring up a quick addendum to the rules of gaming etiquette: DON'T CHEAT WITH GOOGLE. I had forgotten about this rules since I play mostly with people in person at a table, but it is especially tempting to use google to figure out what a monster is, what their weakness is, or what the answer to the riddle is. Play the game, learn from your character's experience in the game world. Everything you guys know about vampire is just rumor and legend. You know that vampires haven't been seen anywhere on this ocean/islands for centuries if not longer. Some legends tell tale of a mighty kingdom that once spanned this entire ocean and the nearby coasts, ruled by demons. Some say these demons were vampires, others that they were simply evil men; whatever the rumor is, they all agree the capital of this kingdom was the Island of Baalor, and that it eventually collapsed when the evil rotted its core. Some of you know from your questioning at different cities and places of learning in the region, that there was a period towards the end of that era when people were brought to the island and sacrificed in blood rituals in countless numbers. I have a question for you guys though, why would a bunch of chaotic self serving (and some of you evil) adventurers care whether a pair of vampires was preying on the local townsfolk? Its not like they have gold, and many of you certainly don't care what harm befalls them.
For the glory of battle of course! Also, I have been thinking on it and I have came up with a few methods of killing Vampires. Behead Stake through the heart Burn (Risky in stilt town) Something to do with silver (Silver tipped stake?) Silver chains to hold them until we can work out how to kill them
For Lucien and Borbo this is not a problem, they are Lawful and seek to destroy chaos and evil wherever it may be. I agree however that one of the problems with playing chaotic/evil characters is that greed and pride are poor motivators in situations like this. If glory and greed were better served by joining an evil foe like a vampire or demon, why wouldn't the chaotics just join them and sell the party out? Another reason I would not and could not play a chaotic. In order to stay in character I would be screwing the party left and right.

Chaotic can also mean that person doesn't want to be in service of a powerful undead master. In the 9 point alignment system of later editions, such a being can actually be lawful (lawful evil). By the way guys, no Gorg this week due to work deadlines. Try not to get wiped out...
How does Gorg fight in those pants!? Is it a hulk thing (the baddies laughing at the pants make Gorg angry, angry Gorg is strong Gorg)?

Stilt Town tavern wench say Gorg manly in stripe pants!
Thea doesn't want undead eating her marks or her minions. A base of operations infested with vampires is a foundation built on quicksand. :D
Look Vampires might be evil creatures that prey on the weak, but they are also extremely intelligent. They have more than likely have lived for hundreds if not thousands of years. Maybe we can make a truce with the vampires, and maybe they would have some quests for us to do? They might even know where some treasure is! The only thing that really makes them (evil) is that they need human blood in order to survive, so why not help them in the situation that they are in?
Or we can just go Blade on their ass ... <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yJt2N7LSptg" rel="nofollow">https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yJt2N7LSptg</a>
Nonono, Steve said that when something like that happens to a human (Vampirism, lycanthropy etc; etc;) They lose their humanity and become monsters. Plus they are only a few month old vampires.
