No video or audio sent or received; tried Chrome and Firefox

I'm trying to introduce my brother to roll20. Last night I brought him into my campaign, but he was unable to receive my audio or video, and he was unable to send his audio or video to me. I know my side works because I've used it before with no problems. He was receiving some sort of connectivity error in both Firefox and Chrome. He allowed the mic and camera plug-ins to run when prompted. My thought is that he might have a firewall/antivirus issue. He uses Kaspersky, but said the camera/audio still didn't work when he disabled the antivirus. Any suggestions?

Could you check to make sure his video/voice work in something like Google Hangouts?
It works in Skype

I still need you to check if it works in Google Hangouts. Hangouts is browser based and the problem may be with a browser setting.
Turn off/disable all browser plugins/extensions and retry. Alternatively, uninstall one of the browsers and re-install a "fresh", new version of the browser. Also, check that roll20 is trying to access the right devices and that both parties have selected to send and receive voice and video in the settings. Failings these, you can always fall back on skype?
Thanks Gavin, I will try disabling extensions for my problem. Didn't know that both parties have to have the same options selected either. that's really actually good to know.
The problem seems to be with my brother's dorm network. He took his computer to our other brother's apartment and everything worked fine there. I guess the college is doing something to block in-browser video/audio?? Seems odd to me.

Some college have specific ports blocked to combat spammers and virus. I know that my college does that. Usually you would have to go to the IT dept and make a request for specific program or port be opened.
hmm potentially.
