Mark.js and API output console question

I've installed the Mark script and it seems to be working fine, but I noticed that when I use it, the script sends a large amount of output to the API console output window. Something to the tune of 4,813 characters/spaces on one line. Is this normal? I'm using !mark @{target|token_id} Thanks
