Hiding Tokens

Hi, first time caller.  Is there a way I can have tokens already on my map (preferably off to the side of the background image) but hidden from the players.  I was thinking maybe I could use fog of war over the token, but I was wondering if there's a better way. Thanks!
Put the tokens in the GM layer.

The hiding them on the GM Layer is the best way so far. You can have them all position and ready for use while sitting on the GM layer and when needed, you can just shift them to the token layer. I've used that trick for secret doors, pit traps icons, etc...
Oh awesome.  Thanks guys!
I wish there was a right cluck option to hide tokens on the token layer instead of having to shift between layers.
There is. You can right click on the token, move cursor to layers and select what layer you want to go to. With the token selected you can also use the following shortcuts to send it to the appropriate layer; Ctrl+M - Map Layer Ctrl+O - Token Layer Ctrl+K - GM Layer
You ignored the part where I said without shifting between layers.
